My name is Dave Downing, and I've been with Burton Snowboards since 1990. In about 1998,
Burton Snowboards started Analog outerwear. At first it was just a category of Burton
outerwear and I think there was about three pieces in the Analog outerwear line. The riders
that were involved with Analog were Jason Brown, Trevor Andrew, and Giggy. Greg Dacyshyn
from Burton Snowboards was the head designer for Analog. Then, I think it was about 2003
when Analog transformed over into doing extreme wear also, and we got into skateboarding and
surfing and snowboarding. That's when it became more of an apparel company, in 2003. And now
we're committed to surfing, skateboarding, and snowboarding. We still have an extensive
snowboard line. Last year we came out with a new category in snowboarding called ATF--Analog
Technical Fashion. It's basically street inspired pieces that are made to snowboard in, like
hooded sweatshirts, flannels--things like that that aren't really outerwear jackets,
but you can snowboard in them. They're treated. They have thumb holes, hood snaps so you can
wear your hood up when you're snowboarding--stuff like that. Right now our team riders are Danny
Davis, Mikhail ***, and then there's two new kids, Zack Hale and Alex Andrews, who
are the team riders. It's a little history on Analog.
