I met probably one of the smartest business woman in entertainment.
If you know the name Hitomi Tanaka, I know where you’ve been.
Then again that says a lot for me too…
It was the next to last week in Tokyo and I got word that Hitomi was in Akihabara.
I was like “Eh, why not? I’ll go hit it up. I’m no longer in debt and i’m going to celebrate”
Just to clarify, I don’t go around spending my money all willy nilly. I’m better than that.
In order for me to attend the event, I had to buy a DVD. I bought one.
Before the event began, there was a guy that was giving out instructions.
I didn’t know Japanese but some folks knew English so they helped out.
They were the real MVPs.
I was able to take photos of Hitomi and had a brief conversation with her.
Hearing her English impressed me! GREATLY, I might add.
We carried on a decent conversation and that was it.
I left the store slightly melancholy.
My inner thoughts said something to me.
It said “Shaun, you finally met Hitomi. Are you happy?”
“Not really. It felt sorta…hollow” “Why?”
“I didn’t know about the other perks and i’d like a photo with her”
“Shaun. You won’t get another chance like this. Go take care of your business.
I went back, got my ticket, and bought two more DVDs and got the full perks.
Had another conversation with Hitomi and it was slightly longer.
That time, I left in a much better mood and pumped up.
Fun fact, she’s a black belt in gojo-ryu Karate.
Overall, it was well worth the experience.
Meeting *** stars in Japan is a lot stricter than it is in the states.
For one, they had security around to make sure no one would do anything foolish.
It IS understandable cause there are some crazy mofos that will cut someone.
Hitomi is a professional and a sweetheart through and through.
She knows she’s marketable and she knows how to sell herself in her business.
Her two year break was the best thing for her personally and professionally.
Hitomi, here's to you being an awesometastic sweetheart.
Oh and thanks for showing me on your Twitter. I really appreciate that.
