Shane Claiborne Visits George Fox University

Shane Claiborne visited the George Fox campus for the University's 5th Annual Kaleo conference February 7th The conference challenged youth pastors and students to think and live differently for the sake of Christ Claiborne, author of 'Jesus for President' and 'The Irresistible Revolution' co-founded a faith community called 'The Simple Way' located in one of the poorest neighborhoods in Philadelphia speaking on the conference theme 'Ordinary Radicals' Claiborne called for listeners to not simply be believers in Christ but to be disciples Claiborne: 'We have a God that didn't just love individuals, but God so loved the world, that he sent his son into this world, not to condemn it but to save it. and we get to be a part of that part.' The conference also included worship led by Aaron Strumpel who just completed a 40 state tour playing more than 400 shows Claiborne ended his visit at George Fox with a packed chapel presentation where students were able to interact with him afterward please be sure to join us at the next Kaleo conference in 2010
