Hi this is Danielle from Maui on behalf of Earth's Living Clay. And today I'd like to
share with you a fabulous do-it-yourself clay foot mask. This foot mask is a double duty
foot mask. Not only is it going to leave my feet feeling silky smooth and real good condition
for flip flops. But also it is great for detoxing the body. Detoxing the body via the feet is
one of the safest ways to detox the body. And it is super easy to do at home. What I'm
going to be using as a detoxing agent is calcium bentonite clay. My calcium bentonite clay
comes from Earthslivingclay.com. This clay is incredibly powerful. It has both aDsorptive
and aBsorptive properties. Which mean it will deliver minerals to the body as well as drawing
out heavy metals and toxins. The way the clay does that is that the clay has a negative
ionic charge and heavy metals and other impurities or toxins have a positive charge. It will
naturally just pulls them right out into the clay. To make this DIY clay foot mask what
you're going to need are two simple ingredients and just a few other materials. I'm using
my Drinking Powder from Earth's Living Clay. This is a very fine mesh calcium bentonite
clay so it dissolves really easily. You could also use your Earth's Living Clay Bathing
Powder. The other thing you're going to need is purified water. As far as some materials,
you're going to want a dish to stir things up in, a wooden spoon. You wan to avoid prolonged
exposure to metals with clay whenever possible. I may even just stir it up with my fingers,
but I've got the spoon here just in case. Since this is such a wonderful opportunity
to pamper yourself, kick your feet up for 30 minutes while the mask does its work I
have a grabbed a great book that I'm going to keep nearby and just kick up on the couch
for a little bit. This book is actually the Living Clay book by Perry A. You can also
get this book at earthslivingclay.com. It is full of so many wonderful ways to use clay
in your life. So it comes highly recommended. And, I also have a towel cause I'm sure my
hands are going to get a little messy putting the clay on my feet. So I figured I'd be ready
for that. Alright, so now lets mix up our clay foot mask. So now we are ready to mix
up our clay foot mask. What we are going to do is take 3 tablespoons of powdered calcium
bentonite clay and combined that with 3 tablespoons of purified water. As a tip, I love to keep
my plastic measuring spoon right in my calcium bentonite clay. I use this daily to make my
clay water which I drink about 2 ounces a day. That is a great way to stay healthy and
keep your body toxin-free. Alright. This is starting to really come together. I've got
this this great mask consistency. It's sticky. It's a wet clay. This is very important because
the clay does need to be hydrated to be activated. Just make sure that you mix it to a point
where you getting hydrated clay that is going to be thick enough to stick on your feet for
the mask. Now we're going paint it on our feet. Now you have your ready mixed clay.
The foot mask is set in a good paste-like consistency. It's time to get your hands a
little dirty. Dig right into the clay and begin smoothing the clay out over your foot.
Just like you would a mask for your face. You can put on as much clay as you'd like.
You can go all the way up your ankles. You can put it on thick or thin. But wherever
you are just make sure you are ready to just sit back and kick you feet up for at least
30 minutes to let the clay go to work. Again, that's why it is helpful to have a good book
handy and be somewhere comfortable. This can get a little messy so I happen to have a towel
here on the floor under my feet. I would recommend you do the same. Although, clay is not going
to stain your clothes or carpets or anything like that. This makes it a fantastic product
to use with your family and friends and children. Looks like my foot is all masked up. I'm going
to do the other foot and then I'm just going to sit back and relax for 30 minutes. It's
been about 30 minutes and the clay mask has definitely been doing its work. The clay itself
has started to dry and crack a little. This is when I know it is time to go ahead and
wash it off. Again, the clay has to be hydrated to be working, so once it is all dried up
you're clear to just rinse it down the drain. It is totally safe for septic systems and
sewer systems. I'm going to wash off my legs in my shower and come right back. I am feeling
great. My skin feels a little cool to the touch. I did rinse with cool water, so that
could be it as well. But the clay has left them feeling really smooth. Certainly, I would
recommend doing this DIY clay foot mask to anybody looking to give themselves a little
pampering in an all natural way. Be sure to stop by earthslivingclay.com and pick up your
calcium bentonite clay so you can make this DIY foot mask at home.
