We have two centres in Barcelona one, that is known as La Masia, which is an educational centre, where children are accommodated,
but I'm more in charge of the school, there are 350 children in the school who have passed the acceptance tests.
Each year 1000, 1500, 1800 children are introduced to us, depending on the season and we select 80 children who are accepted into school.
In the youth academy, which is the other FC Barcelona centre, we have scouting, process of acquiring, searching for players,
including other regions of Spain, other parts of the world. That’s children who come into an institution,
known as La Masia or educational centre Oriol Tort.
FCB school has influential workers, headed by the director Xavi Mercé since 2007
and the people employed here are very young, well prepared, educated,
who try every morning to improve what FCB represents as a school, on the national and international level.
One school is in Barcelona, this is the seat or the main school.
And then we have about 14, 15 schools around the world which we must pay attention to,
we need to be close, to achieve the goal, which is that each school operates on the principle of our philosophy.
Even at school, which my colleague and friend Isaac mentioned earlier,
at school from age 6 to 11 and later at the Barca academy, in youth football, it is always insisted on
the same methodology exists, in terms of training and game system and they are already used to it.
When they come in the first team, they already know the mechanism and other things associated with motion,
because they work on the same set course. The only difference is in progress, they get through the years.
But because it’s the same system of training and games, they have perfect knowledge of passes and are harmonized
in the movement and in the knowledge of the system and this is a big advantage.
if the concept is changing, especially in terms of the system, everything is different and the player must then adapt.
This is one of the great benefits that we have, to use the same way of work from the bottom up.
the same understanding and the same philosophy and therefore players when they come to the first team
already have extensive knowledge and adapt much faster.
One of the values, which we are very proud of and which extends beyond the process of acquiring players
or sport values of the club, is work that projects human values,
which are very much appreciated.
These values of friendship, solidarity, respect for coaches,
for parents, for judges, all of this seems extremely important and is our priority.
