Male Fashion Advice - How to Wear Color

Hey guys, what's going on? This is Tripp from TrippAdvice.com and we're just rolling through this male fashion advice series. Today, we're with Kimberly Seltzer as always and we're talking about fashion and color. Color, that's right. Color. So Kimberly is a makeover and dating expert. She does both. She's pretty awesome at what she does and if you've seen the past two videos, she's already dressing me to look sexy and teaching you guys how to do the exact same thing. So color is an important aspect of fashion and a lot of guys look that over. I know myself, my entire wardrobe and you probably know this from watching all my past videos, it's black, it's white, it's grey and maybe like a dark blue. Those are all the colors I have. So one of the reasons why I asked Kimberly to come out today is because I was like, "You know, I need some more color. I need to make it a little more funky, a little more different because everything is just the same thing over and over and over again." So Kimberly. Yes. Tell us about color. I'd be happy to tell you about color. You know what's so funny is that you were shifting in this little short time that we've been shopping together and a lot of people do this, like I want to be a little bit more edgier, outrageous and play with color, yet I'm a little bit scared. And you were kind of going through that while we were dancing through the stores, right? And so I started with some more muted colors and then we graduated to these pants here, if you can pan down. Look at these pants. I mean amazing. So we started... They're salmon. Salmon. Salmon. Right? Not red. It's so funny, why do women, we have those words? I think it's because our nail polish colors... Exactly. So these are salmon and you are rocking it out. Now first off, I want to say, because you're so confident and actually your confidence is increasing with each outfit we put on you, just like your attitude, color is a great way to enhance your confidence and it's something really easy. Don't be scared of it. Research shows, guys, that women and men for that matter are attracted to color. For whatever reason, we are. Yeah, I know if I see someone walking down the street, like a girl walking down the street, in a white shirt versus like a bright red or a bright green shirt, that's going to catch my eye much faster. Exactly, and not only that, it takes a confident person to wear color, if you really think about it, so it says something about that person's personality even. So the best way to really know your colors is to put it up against your skin. Now with guys, guys aren't like women. We're like, oh my God! That color looks so good on you! You're not going to say that to your buddy. However, you can ask your friends, do you like this shirt? Pay attention to how you get reinforced in different colors. If you start paying attention, you'll start seeing a pattern that when you wear that blue shirt, you're getting more attention. So that's the first thing. The second thing is to just hold it up to your skin and look in the mirror. I want to show you something with Tripp here in particular. Now he's wearing a blue and in the camera, it might look a little different, but this is a great color for him. And different shades of blue is good. The minute I put blue on him, it was like to me instant, like it was kinda like wow, that's your color. So those are really my tips on color. Cool, thank you Kimberly. This is video number three.
