CLANCY ROSE: Hello. I'm Clancy Rose from Cafe Medici and here with Expert Village, and what
we're talking about today is preparing a single cappuccino. A single cappuccino is basically
the single shot of espresso in the bottom of a five- to eight-ounce cappuccino cup and
then your steamed milk and your foam. The difference basically between a cappuccino
and a normal latte is more foam. The things that you're going to need to prepare a single
cappuccino are going to be first of all your beans for your shot of espresso, your coffee
grinder. You're going to need the espresso machine of course. The espresso machine parts
are the porta filter, the steam wand - I always carry a wet towel on the top of the espresso
machine to wipe off the steam wand after you're done - the tamper for preparing the shot,
your cappuccino cups, five to eight ounces. You're going to need your milk, whatever kind
of milk you're using, and I usually keep a couple of other towels around to keep the
area clean, a steaming pitcher to steam the milk for the cappuccino and a lot of time
I like to have one of these little thermometers to check your temperature. You can get the
temperature to where you like the drink to be or whatever, and we'll talk about that
more in a minute.
