Three of them occupy our household.

Sushi is the oldest … came up from Texas with Lynne when she moved to Colorado. Getting
on in years, but still definitely the "alpha cat."
Sushi is very much the hunter. If he can't hunt, he's not alive.
Of the three, I think Sushi is the only one that could really make it on his own. Here's
something I saw out my window the other day … his 5th squirrel this year.
Shubert came next, a rescue kitty from Angels with Paws, a group that specializes in saving
alley cats. He's the strangest one of the bunch. Fussy, always preening, can't stand
one thing out of place. I call Shubert the Temple Cat. He fulfills every dream of an
Egyptian cat god. And he'd much rather hang around the house. The outside? Not for Shubert.
And finally there's Solomon, so named because both Lynne and I hoped
he'd show a little more intelligence, but alas … if cats could drink beer, Solomon
would be the bar fly. He doesn't do much, but that's okay.
