Diy Super Easy Unicorn Hair Color!

- [Voiceover] Today on Eleventh Gorgeous: - We were scared too. - (laughs) So excited! ♫ Ah unicorn hair up in this place ♫ Ooh! My hair is blue! - My hair is blue! Or My Little Pony. - Unicorns and glitter! - So you might have seen a really scary Instagram photo. We were scared too. - And this is what it looks like. Oh my god! What were they thinking! - My Little Pony! - We have unicorn hair, My Little Pony Hair, mermaid hair... Unicorn hair, don't care! - We decided we bought this hair dye a long time ago. It's the Garnier Color Styler. Washable, intense washout color. So what you're supposed to do with this, which is a $6.99, you can get it at Target. That's the only place that I've really seen all of the colors, but I think you can get it at other places too, you just gotta look. So, anyways, this is supposed to be an intense washout color and you apply it and you brush it out, and you're good to go. Two to three washes and it's out. But for us, we wanted to do it a little differently. - I'll be honest, this is kind of us giving you guys tips and tricks and letting you know things to do, things not to do, because it tells you to just put it in, and then let it dry, - Just brush it out. and brush it out, but that makes it feel disgusting. - And I don't think it's that good for your hair because when you do put it in, it dries, so it gets really crunchy and when you're combing it, it just... And I've read some where you can like put it in, you comb it, you put it in, you comb it, you keep combing through it, but I tried that, I've done this before, and it just did not work like that. - But this is definitely a first time for me doing it and for us putting it all throughout our hair. - Yes. So we got a little brave and we're gonna show you guys some clips of what we did, but we basically just randomly picked up pieces. We started with one color. We did pink, and then we did blue, and then we did purple, and we just did it one at a time and just did random pieces of our hair. - They also have Red Temptation and Bronze Attitude. I don't know if we saw those or we just didn't... - Just didn't... I just like the girly colors I guess, if you will. - Or the like unicorn-y My Little Pony ones. - Yeah, so, literally it's just in a bottle with some gloves, you shake it, you use it, and for us, like we said, we washed it out, just one wash with shampoo and conditioner and it fades to a really pretty pastel color. - Yeah, so I think this'll probably last two to three washes maybe. - Three. Yeah. So this is very temporary. Alright, so we're gonna show you guys what it looked like when we put all this stuff on, and after the video we're gonna have some tips and tricks to make it go a little bit more smoothly. - Cut to the footage, Bob. (camera beeping) - Whoa! - Are you afraid? - Always. It's so liquid-y. Always use protection. 'Cause this stuff, it stains. We bought a lot because... - Well, we thought we ran out of the other or lost the other, so. - And we're both doing it. We don't know how much we wanna use, so. Whoa! Get excited! - I'm so nervous. I'm so nervous. Get excited. Get excited. We got black shirts on too so that if it gets a little bit on there, we won't be upset. - That's gonna be getting color up there on her neck. This is interesting. - We're not professionals. No professionals here. - Doing it. - Doing it. - And doing it well. - Or not well. - Or just halfway. This is commitment. It's happening. Oh gosh, this is really (gasp). - We've never done the blue, right? - I've never done in the pink or the blue. I've only done purple. - I'm so scared. We're gonna have so much color in our hair! (gasp) - Mom is going to be so mad at us. Blue is very bright. - Blue. I feel like a barbie right now. Mm! (laughs) So excited! - Aw, I went pink. - (laughs) - It's OK. It's time for purple. - For purple. It's gonna be interesting, guys. Typically you're supposed to not wash this stuff out, but it's so gross that I like to wash it out. And, it makes it pastel-y. - Ooh! - And that's not what it ends up looking like 'cause you've seen my hair, you know? - Yeah. ♫ Ah unicorn hair up in this place ♫ - Are you so excited? - I'm so excited. - This was not intended to be this much. - Alright, Maybe it was. because our camera is about to die, after we're done getting to the desired amount of nest that we want, we're gonna-- - Leave it for just a bit, - wash it out, dry it and style it. - Yeah. Even though you're not supposed to, it just works better for us 'cause it gets gross! Ah! - Yeah, so that's how we're gonna do it. Alright, we'll see you soon! - I'm excited! Yay! Yay! Now we're gonna wait and then wash out, 'cause it's actually like dry. It dries on your hair, - Yeah, yeah. but we're gonna wash it out. - I'm so scared. (mumbling) - (mumbling) My hands are blue! My hair is blue! My hair is blue! I have blue hair! - I have blue, pink, and purple hair! - I have unicorn hair! - Maybe. Maybe. Let's go wash it out. - It could be a fail. - (gasp) Let's go! Here is some tips and tricks so that maybe you don't fudge it up, - and get grounded because you got hair color all over your mom's brand new carpet! - FYI, ask your parents before you do this, and if you don't, do not tell them that Eleventh Gorgeous told you to do it. 'Cause we did not. - Yeah, do not. But, also remember that this is temporary so it's not gonna be something like Manic Panic or some of the other hair color dyes - No. that could last weeks or a month. - Obviously you don't wanna wear clothes that you really care about. Dark shirts are better because if you do get something on it, it doesn't show up. - We wore shirts that kinda covered up our chest area because we knew that when the hair color was wet it might stain your skin a little bit, which it comes off. If you saw in the video, I had it on my hands and stuff and it's pretty much gone. - My hands still kinda blue, and I have like junk all over my nails from it. - I have a blue toe! - (laughs) - So it didn't come off 100%, but to be honest, - Yup. I didn't scrub my feet when I was in the shower. I was mostly just wanting to shampoo my hair and get out. - And see what it looks like. Yes. Yeah. We were pretty excited, so. - I've got gunk all over my nails. You might have to get a little elbow grease in there, but it'll come off. - Mm mm mm, eat your Wheaties! - Make sure that if you have carpet or rugs, like it's covered, or take the rugs out. - Don't have anything wet. Don't use nice towels. - Yeah. Don't use nice towels. - All of those things are gonna help you have a better experience. - Also, for us, we did random pieces. There's no right or wrong way to do it. - It was like, OK this one looks good. OK this one looks good. - Yeah, I would say watch some videos, look at some techniques, see what kind of look you wanna go for and you know, go for it, 'cause it washes out. - It does. You're not married to this forever. And another thing to know-- - I wanna be married to it forever. - I know, I know! I wish I could just hit a button and magically change my hair color. With our hair, it looks like I have a little bit more than Stefanie, but I have less hair than Stefanie. She's got super thick hair, so we probably put the same number of strips in our hair. - My hair looked pretty covered when I got done. I just have pieces in between my hair so thick, it didn't do it. - But I like that, so it's possible to like leave blonde strands in between to give kinda more that ribbon look. And then mine just kinda ended up looking like very-- - It's got some more solid pieces. - Yeah, but I love it, and even though it's slightly messy and just a little bit time-consuming if you're doing all the different colors, I will purchase it again, I'll do it again. - And do it again, especially for a certain occasion. If you're like: "I'm going - Yeah!
