Entrevista a Manel Espinosa Berenguer - Bostok project

We are with Manel Espinosa, composer and guitarist of Bostok Project Good afternoon Manel You have just started your musical career and though you already have years of experience What feelings do you have? Our feelings are a bit different because starting with a new band makes you renew a little your hope and your desire of doing something new How and when did you begin in the music world? In the music world I started a long time ago when I was still living in Aldaia and my mother join me to the music school But I don't remember how it was called But it didn't like me and I was unsubscribed the next year and then when I moved to Castalla in Alicante I met my friend Senent and we joined to the music school "El Sogall" and it all began there Personally, do you feel with more enthusiasm in this new adventure compared to the previous bands? No, it's not more enthusiasm it's simply different because really at this band everyone is more involved and we want to go in the same direction Why do you sing in English? Has it always been like that? What happen with Valencian, your own language? We sing in english because at the beginning when we haven't started yet in Bostok Project we met a few times just to talk about that kind of points and at the beggining we didn't think about singing in english, simply while we were composing we decided how to do it and it came in english because the kind of music that we play really the most of the bands sing in english and when we composed our songs we thought in english lyrics naturally Why do you play heavy music? Why that style? well... we play heavy music why we sing in english. Also at the beginning we hadn't thought specifically of playing that kind of music simply when we started the rehearsals it arose and we decided to focus on that style of music What guitar do you use? Do you feel comfortable with it? Actually I'm playing with Kurgan Kdc 7 of Kurgan Guitars that's property of one person of my town that makes manufactured guitars and at the moment I'm so happy with it because it has a good sound quality And to finish the interview, do your band and you have any goal or any objective...? evidently all the bands that begin and bands formed by young people like us always have the goal or better said, the dream of doing some day enough gigs to be able to live by it but we decided to propose goals that we could achieve so the first that we have proposed is trying to search for the maximum small gigs in pubs or that kind of places and begin in that way and that's our first goal Thanks a lot for the interview Manel, see you soon.
