Hi, this is Krayl Funch with Appealing Plan and today we're going to talk about creating
a neutral spring coffee table. Some of the things I like to start with is a tray. A nice
wooden tray helps to ground the table and gives you a little bit of, right away a little
bit of symmetry to space. So start off thinking about how large is your coffee table. This
one of fairly large so we have a decent amount of space but if you have a smaller one think
about a smaller tray that might work for you. So what we're going to do is we're going to
start adding some elements. First I'm going to add this little box. The colors and the
textures go nicely together and it also hides all of our remotes. So I'm going to make sure
you have a place to hide your remotes, maybe your candle lighters; that type of thing.
Then we're going to add in some of the books. Books, magazines, some of the things that
we love, design magazines, this great Kinfolk magazine; placing those sort of at the bottom
of your tray so it leaves some space for some items up top. Then we're going to add in coasters.
Even though you may not like the way some coasters work, try to buy a nice version.
These soap stones are very nice as oppose to the cardboard bar coasters that some of
you might have at home. So then we're going to add in some spring bulbs. This arrangement
was forced spring bulbs. They're hyacinth and they're a black urn with some moss in
the bottom and then when they get a little heavy we just bring in the curly willow and
that holds them up. Finishing touch to make it very springy is a little moss bunny. So
play around with your coffee table. Remember, you don't have to have the same items there
for months and months. Think about it as a seasonal opportunity to decorate your home.
