Today we're going to talk about how to install a Turning Point Stainless Steel Propeller.
Remove the old propeller, and make sure the old thrust washer isn't stuck and has been
removed before you install the new thrust washer on to the shaft. Grease the splines
with spline grease. Then install the plastic hub onto the propeller. Place the propeller
onto the shaft and push it into place. Next, we're going to install the castle, followed
by the tabbed washer. Install the nut and tighten it down. Make sure the flat edges
of the tabbed washer align with the flat edges of the nut. Put a block of wood between the
blade and the cavitation plate then push up on the propeller to hold the block in place
as you torque it to manufacturer's specifications. Make sure the tabs are lined up flat against
the drive adapter. You may need to adjust the nut. Hammer the tabs down so they hold
the nut in place. This completes the installation of a Turning Point Stainless Steel propeller.
