First-time I arrived on campus was for an open day
to have a general look around
so for that I joined the campus tour
I had a look at the accommodation, I also had a look at the different buildings
and the distances
that I need to cover
the buildings basically have
electronic door openers
they are either switched on so that they go on, off automatically
or there is a button to press
in addition to obviously, ramps
the campuses it's self is not too big to cover, so being in a wheelchair is no problem
to go from one end to the next in terms of wheelchair access, I can pretty much go
anywhere
so is the library
and social spaces, they are all accessible. And it's the same for the accommodation
my particular room was accessible in that there was an automatic door
opener
for the front door. They have adapted the kitchen
I would recommend Bournemouth University because I think its quite an open
and friendly environment
That's for academic matters as well as support services, and the general feel
weather that's Bournemouth Lansdowne
or the Talbot campus
people generally are friendly and try to help as much as they can
to make it a good experience for staff as well as students
