We often forget the basics of music.
Beyond the catchy riffs and delicate instrumentation,
an individual, very much like you or me, acts upon an idea.
Music is more than something we just hear.
It has a soul of its own.
Everyone has their own rhythm, and it is something we can all share.
I play for fun, not for money or attention.
I play the same popular tunes to an audience of two.
That grand piano sings the notes I feed
as we listen to the mellow tune.
So soon does the music end and we must go our separate ways.
Oh, how I miss the days when music meant more
than money and popularity.
An age of creativity and exploration
slowly fading,
lost in the past...
