Stories from the Rainbow Warrior: A ship with 100 000 contributors

A big thank you to everyone who has donated money for this ship You are the one who keeps us rolling Thank you very much to everybody for the help of building this strong ship I was happy to see these new life jackets on the ship A lot better than the old bulky red ones we used to have A lot easier to work with and go in and out of the boats Better for an action as well So thanks for these We are standing here next to a winch we use to set the main sail It is assisted with hydraulics and we have about 300 square meters behind So it is very convenient for us to have these devices on board Thank you for helping us building the ship this way We are here in the steering gear room This is the steering gear all the way to the back of the ship It is wonderfully silent and very efficient Thank you for this We are in the lounge my favorite place onboard Here we get together after work to have a cup and a chat We have a nice library and TV so we can watch a movie together Thank you everyone who made this possible Thank you for supporting the building of this ship We have beautiful engines but it is more beautiful when the sails are up I thank everybody We have a wonderful ship And this is because of you Here in the campaign room we have the possibility to do effective campaigning With lots of modern communication facilities Thank you for your support Dear brothers and sisters Thank you for supporting the building of the ship For your contribution It is a great opportunity to work in this beautiful galley I wish to thank our supporters who helped us build such a modern radio room Thanks very much Here we are sailing into the Mediterranean for the first time with the new Rainbow Warrior You can see Gibraltar in the background It is beautiful weather We've got five sails set We are making 11 knots with our sails We've had a great two months of campaigning We've been around Northern Europe The vessels handled it very well under heavy weather I want to thank each and everyone of you For making it possible for Greenpeace to get this fantastic new campaign vessel
