Hey! Whooo! Matt Guf here for The House Snowboard Shop, and I'm here with the Capita Stairmaster
Extreme snowboard. Now, on this board you'll find some amazing graphics, and in this board
you'll find some amazing material and features. TransWorld SNOWboarding found it good enough
to win the Good Wood award, and if I could give an award, I'd probably give one to this
board as well. It is the true twin extreme freestyle board for the immediate to pro level
park rider. The flex rating is about a 6, so it's a little on the stiffer scale, but
that's okay when you're hitting 80' baynards. Now, the Stairmaster Extreme has traditional
camber technology. This board is gonna have a lot of pop getting off those jumps, a lot
of pop getting onto those rails; and being true twin, you can do pretty much anything
with this board. The wood core of course runs tip to tail and rail to rail. Along the rails
is beech wood and in the middle is poplar wood. Because there's beech on the outside
and near the rails, the board is going to ride a lot more stable as beech is a more
dense wood. Then the poplar in the middle, a softer wood, is going to help provide a
nice and smooth ride throughout the season. Now, what's really great about this core are
the additives and the glass. The unique glass is called a Custom Weave E Class. That means
on top of the wood core the fiberglass runs in two different directions -- at 90 and zero
degrees; and on the bottom of the core the glass runs in three directions -- at zero,
45 and negative 45 degrees. So it definitely gives it a nice, fun, playful feel with the
camber. The Stairmaster Extreme has a regular radial sidecut. The sidecuts range from 7.8
to about 8.3, depending on what size you get. The edges are also pretty unique. They of
course have the 360 wrap, but between the sidewall and actual edge there's a 1.5 mm
thick rubber dampening system, so they're pretty much bomb-proof. They added another
layer of dampening so if you hit the side of a rail or you go through some chundra,
the rubber dampening rails are going to absorb a lot of that vibration for you. This base
is also going to be very fast all season long. It's a Wax Infused Rotation Sintered Base,
which means when Capita presses this base together they actually put wax inside it,
so it comes pre-waxed in a sense, and it's going to absorb wax really well. If you need
a quick wax it'll take it well, it'll scrape off well and it's going to stay fast all season
long. Of course, because it's a true twin board it has a centered stance, and a pretty
cool graphic on top -- a DDT silkscreen, so a nice, cool feel to it. So, again, this is
the eco-friendly, Capita Stairmaster Extreme board with wood from reforested areas. There
are a lot of cool features! If you're a park rat or rider that likes taking the limits
to the next level, this is a great board for you.
