One of the values of GLS is "Excellence honours God!"
And it is the same in Jesus church, Alpha course, for example, there are songs.
If we sing songs, those songs should be excellent,
if it is accompaniment, it should be excellently prepared,
if those are words on the screen, there should not be mistakes.
if slides change, they change at the exact moment they should.
Our team's responsibility is to remove all obstacles,
that can get in the way of guests hearing the Word of God.
If we say that event will start at 7 pm, it should start at 7 pm,
we respect the time of our guests and our team.
I liked our time together when we were together sharing with one another.
There was something that touched my heart deeply, and I had this idea -
we should make cards and hand them out in the neighborhood.
We discussed it with church members who came to this GLS, and
agreed afterwards that it would be a good idea we could implement.
Since it was so close to the end of the year, the first thing
that came into my mind was to make cards that would be
a greeting card in Christ's birthday for everyone who doesn't know God.
We invited everybody to participate, and to hand out cards in their neighborhoods,
to close people who do not know God. Either either at their work place, or at home,
whatever they feel in their heart, they should give the cards to.
Or maybe they meet somebody on the street, and they want to give the card to them as well.
We felt something radiateing from the team, and
I noticed it because I also work with a team in my church,
and try to implement some things, and this was one of them.
The joy the team radiated was not some "pre-prepared" joy,
that we had to hand out to them, it was a real joy, something contagious.
Ministry has to give joy, and not just an emotional joy,
which is not bad, but every person should be able to answer for themselves,
"Does my inner person come alive or shrivel up when I minister?"
