Maria: Here I am at the La Peer surgery center, and there's my left knee waiting to be operated
on. I have my IVs, I just have to put on my little silly hat and then I'll be ready to
go. See you later! I'm going to put my glasses on... well, it's my Google glass! There's
a TV in the waiting room and see, there are my crutches. Can you open the door honey,
so I can show them around? And there's all that stuff. The surgery place
is right out the door so really, I'll be going in there any second.
Okay, I'm recording a video and I do have a bit if medication so... I'm in the operating
room and I think I'm feeling a little loopy, But here we are at La Peer surgery and I'm
getting my left knee meniscus tear repair and I do feel the medication. There's Dr.
A -- hi Dr. Ahluwalia! I have some medication on now and I'm getting
my left knee meniscus tear repair; I have my blue hat on...so here we go, you guys!
I do feel it. Doctor Ahluwalia: Do you?
Maria: Propofol Doctor 2: Can you move over here?
Maria: Okay, I'll do that. Yay! It's a very short procedure according to Dr. A.
Doctor A: Can you move right a bit more? Maria: Okay.
Dr. A: Okay. You can lay down now. Nurse: We're going to get some seat belts
and monitors on you, okay? Maria: Okay.
Doctor A: If you would go down towards that way an inch...
Maria: Okay. Doctor A: Good.
Maria: I'm doing pretty good so far, actually. Doctor 2: You're doing great.
Maria: Okay. Doctor A: I'm going to give you more medicine
now, okay? Maria: Mmm, Propofol! It is my left knee.
Doctor A: Yeah. Maria: And there's a big sign on it right...
let's just make sure. Yes, okay, excellent. Okay...excellent.
Nurse: Thank you, doctor Ahluwalia. Maria: I'll probably have to shut up soon
so you guys... so... There he is, my handsome doctor
Doctor A: How're you feeling? Are you okay? Maria: Yes.
Doctor A: Good. Maria: Do you get a lot of... aah...
Nurse: I have all your monitors ready to go. Maria: The staff her at La Peer surgery is
fantastic...they're gorgeous...amazing Doctor 2: Alright, you can go off to sleep
now. Maria: Okay, so should I take it off?
Doctor 2: No, you can take it off later. Maria: Okay. Um...they're gorgeous.
Nurse: Doctor, she really like what you've given her
Maria: I'm feeling a little better. I have Propofol on now?
Nurse: Yes. Maria: Hey!
Doctor A: Hey. Maria: I've been here once before.. Thank
God I only have two knees. When you feel comfortable just remove it.
Doctor A: Yes, we will. Maria: How many people get Meniscus tear?
Dr. A: Can you try this on a different finger? That one stopped working. Know why they have
this one here? Nurse: To give you options
Dr. A: Yeah Nurse: You can try it on my finger.
Dr. A: The other one is not -- Nurse: Okay, let's take this off.
