Vladimir Kuzmin, singer and composer
I think this event - 30 years of Dynamic - is very important for our fans,
because our main task has always been to make people happy.
They have good memories of their youth connected to us and we would like to revive this on the stage on October 7.
I do not know whether we will succeed, but we have concerts very often so I hope everything will be great.
What is the program of the concert? Will there be any surprises?
The main emphasis will be put on the first album of Dynamic that appeared in 1982
We will basically play the same songs.
We invited the musicians who played then - my brother Alexander Kuzmin and Yuri Kitayev,
who was the first drum player in Dynamic.
The songs that we will play will include "Exercise", "Rain", "Mother", "Sadness"
- all our legendary songs, although I am not sure they are legendary,
but I already said that I value the opinion of the audience.
We are rehearsing now to provide material form that time.
But I know the audience too well and I realize that if we play only songs of one type
it will be too boring.
Everybody wants "Siberian Frosts" and "Simona".
We want people to smile.
The greatest happiness for me is to see people smiling or crying from positive emotions at my concerts
and it happens quite often.
What can I say, just come and enjoy.
By the way, we are preparing a record - a double album of Dynamic.
A real vinyl record with those songs and old photographs.
It will be interesting for collectors.
How did you choose a place to perform?
It looks a little odd, more for an acoustic concert.
Yet the first two albums and the concert in Kirov are very much about drums and rock-n-roll?
Why this place?
And which place in the times of Dynamic was something special?
We did not choose this hall, we were offered it.
I attended a blues concert there.
One can really sing there without a microphone and be heard.
How will we manage?
Probably we will play a little quieter.
Generally we played everywhere, even at huge sports arenas.
Recently we played in Sakhalin, there were 35,000 people on the square.
It is also very interesting to play in the circus, where you constantly need to move
because you are always turning your back to some part of the audience.
The career of Dynamic started at the Tashkent circus.
We were forbidden to be a rock-group and we registered as circus artistes.
We received circus salaries with extra money "to feed the elephants."
I invented the term "musical feuilleton", so that my satirical songs would be approved by the artistic council.
I called it a musical feuilleton and sang about the acute problems of the time and nobody forbade me,
because it was in circus.
It would have been different if we were classified as a rock-band.
The poster said "Vladimir Kuzmin", but on the wall next to it we wrote "Dynamic",
and people went to our performances.
This is how we travelled to the arenas and sports halls.
It did not stop us from becoming a very popular band.
The newspaper "Moskovsky Komsomolets" gave us first place in the rating of musical bands.
Although the person responsible for that was soon fired.
After that we were banned.
Only 25% of our songs could be ours, while the rest had to be written "by Soviet composers".
I found a way out.
I attributed my own songs to other composers, I was ready to give up my authors' rights.
I did not really give them up, because they were still registered in my name.
It was fun.
We did all this with light hearts, without being pathetic, and that is why people liked us.
