Well, here I am at Hinkley Point. This is likely to be,
if all the planning processes are properly agreed,
the first of the new generation of nuclear plants in the UK.
And that will provide enormous opportunities
for local people here in this part of the West Country -
a large number of jobs, both in the construction phase and long-term.
It's also going to provide energy security for the UK,
because we've got a lot of electricity coming out of this plant
if it's built and all the permissions go ahead.
Because what we will have is energy security,
affordable electricity and low-carbon electricity.
So we'll be making a contribution
to dealing with the problems of climate change as well.
