Hello and welcome. In this video we'll show you
how to create a Battle.net account.
Each chapter of the video can be accessed directly
by clicking the links in the table of contents currently shown on screen.
A Battle.net account offers a convenient way
to manage Blizzard games and services.
In addition, having a Battle.net account allows you to participate
in our forum discussions, beta test opt-ins and much more -
all with a single login. Setting up a Battle.net account is free.
To create your account, please visit our website - battle.net
and click on the option "Create an Account" at the top of the page.
It's important to make sure that all the information
you enter on your Battle.net account is accurate,
as it identifies you as the rightful owner of the account.
Also, some of the data cannot be changed
once you finish the account creation process.
For minors, a parent or legal guardian will have to create the account.
If you are a parent creating an account for a child, we also recommend
watching our video about Parental Controls by clicking the onscreen link
or the one in the description below.
The first field you can see is the Country of Residence.
Be aware that the information you'll be asked to provide
will vary depending on the country you choose.
In our example, we show the account creation process
for residents of the United States. Now fill in all required information.
The email address you enter will also be
the login name of your Battle.net account.
Any email notifications will be sent to this address,
so make sure it is valid and you have access to it.
The same address has to be entered in both fields.
For better account security, we highly recommend
choosing a "Strong" password.
As you can see, the page will show you the instructions
and the security levels while you type in your password.
You will find a link to our password guidelines
in the video description below.
The secret answer is very important for ownership verification.
Make sure it is something you will remember,
but don't pick one that would be easy for someone to guess.
Read and accept all terms and conditions
and click on "Create free account".
If the account was created by or for a minor,
you will now have to provide an email address of a parent or legal guardian.
After confirmation, this person will receive an email with further information.
Once finished, your account will be created
and a verification email will be sent to the email address you registered.
After you have created your Battle.net account,
you should receive an email from Blizzard
that invites you to verify your Battle.net account.
Verification will unlock essential Battle.net account features.
If you have not received this email, please check your spam and junk folders.
If no email can be found at all, add noreply@battle.net
to your email account's safe list. Then, go to the battle.net login page,
enter your account name and password and click on "log in."
Once in your Battle.net account, click on "Resend Verification Email"
as shown here. In the verification email,
click on the link to verify your Battle.net account email address.
Note that verifying your Battle.net email address is necessary
to add games to your Battle.net account.
Very good! You now have a verified account
and you are ready to enjoy all its benefits.
Now, click on the "Continue to account management" button
to be redirected to your Battle.net account.
Feel free to explore all of your new account features,
including the ability to register Blizzard games you own
so that you can download them, free of charge, at any time.
You will also be able to include your address and your phone number,
edit some account details,
increase your account security by adding a Battle.net Authenticator,
contact our Customer Service team,
and even try World of Warcraft or StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty for free
by adding a Starter Edition to your account.
We hope this has provided all the information you needed
to create and manage your Battle.net account.
Thanks for watching this video, good luck, and have fun!
