Cuando salimos del lugar donde sufrimos, y caminamos hacia un nuevo lugar, con una nueva esperanza, Dios es Fiel para darnos el refugio y el consuelo que necesitamos. Así como Dios bendijo a Rut y Noemí en Belén después de todo su sufrimiento, Dios puede también restaurar tu vida, renovar tu mente y darte una nueva vida. El dolor y el sufrimiento no son para siempre, Dios es nuestro Consolador! Hoy, deja que Dios restaure tu vida, que Él borre tu pasado doloroso y te llene de gozo otra vez. Y no olvides, así como Noemí y Ruth se apoyaron mutuamente durante momentos difíciles, tú también puedes apoyar a otras personas y seguir caminando acompañada. Hola otra vez, mi nombre es Karen
And I am going to share the second part of the devotional: "When life is uncertain"
In the last video we talked about Ruth and Naomi
traveling to Bethlehem after all their suffering
And they take this uncertain road to Bethlehem
Bethlehem means "House of bread"
They were looking for provision and "bread"
because that was a time of famine
So, people started recognizing Naomi,
they started spreading the word about these women, what happened to them, and where they were coming from
Then Ruth started "working" at a grain field
at that time, there was a law regarding to widows, orphans and foreigners
that law consisted in these people
having "the right" to pick up leftovers from the harvest
So, Ruth started working in one of the grain fields
and suddenly she met the owner of that field, named Boaz
Boaz started asking around who was that woman in his field
And when he saw her, she went to her and told her these beautiful words:
Ruth, I know who you are, I heard everything you´ve done
I heard what happened to you, and that you came to this unknown place
and I want to tell you
that God will bless you
May the Lord repay you for what you have done.
May you be rewarded by the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge.
After these words Boaz told her:
Don’t go and glean in another field and don’t go away from here. Stay here with the women who work for me.
I have told the men not to lay a hand on you, so you can stay here without any problems.
At the end of the day Ruth goes back to Naomi with everything she had gathered
and told her about her ancounter with Boaz
After a while, Naomi told her: Boaz is a relative of ours.
Wash, put on perfume, and get dressed in your best clothes
And go meet Boaz, because he is a relative of ours, and he can redeem you
That means that he could marry her in order to maintain the name of the dead with his property.
Ruth obeyed Naomi, so she takes a bath, puts perfume on
And went to find Boaz while he was about to sleep.
At that time there was a tradition in which a woman was able to "propose" to a man
She would have to go and lay down at his feet, uncovering his feet
and wait for him to cover her with his cloak
When a man covered the woman with his cloak
was because he accepted to marry her
So Ruth comes to Boaz, uncovered his feet and lay down at his feet.
When Boaz woke up, and the Bible says
that something startled him, and found someone at his feet
and then he found out it was Ruth
he asked her: What do you need?
Ruth explained the whole thing and asked him to redeem her
Boaz told her: Don´t be afraid
I am going to do everything you ask me to
Because you are a virtuous woman, you are a valuable woman
and you are worth fighting for
So, after a while Boaz Marries Ruth and they have a baby named Obed
and this baby came to change teir lives
When the baby was born, some women came to Naomi saying: What a blessing!
this baby will renew your heart, he will give you happiness and will restore you,
Your daughter-in-law is more valuable than 7 sons, and she has given you this gift
he will be with you and will restore you
Ruth and Naomi were restored in Bethlehem
they went to that place to receive God´s protection
and they received it, they received that comfort
So their lives where not uncertain anymore
Now they had a purpose, God gave them joy again
after all their suffering
Something very important that we can learn from this story
is about Ruth and Naomi helping each other during a hard time
Sometimes, when we suffer, we decide to isolate from the world
but these women teach us that instead of doing that
we can help each other
and walk this road until we see the light, and a new hope
Today I invite you to receive God´s comfort
If you already walked that painful road,
If you have been thinking and looking for an exit
in that uncertain time in your life,
Don´t worry and keep going, because God will give waht you need
He can give you your happiness back, He can give you peace
He can give you joy after everything you went through
Ruth and Naomi were comforted in Bethlehem
they received what they needed the most
Today, you can also receive what you need
you can ask God to restore you, to be your refuge
his cloak can surround you and give you comfort
and give you everything you need today
Don´t forget, If your life is uncertain
you can trust in God and He will show you the way
and He can give you a new life, and happiness again
And just like Ruth and Naomi
Remember to help other women around you
you may be like Ruth, having all this strenght and energy
to help someone in need
or you may be like Naomi, having all this experience
and advices to share with a younger woman
My prayer for you today is for God to bless you and restore you
and to give you an exit to all the problems you are having right now
and so in that same way, you can help others aswell
and share that comfort that you are receiving from Him
