Hi everybody!
I'm sorry if I sound a little bit weird, but I caught a cold
and my nose is all stuffy and disgusting and I keep sneezing all the time.
So... sorry!
Today's video is going to be a short one. I promise!
Because I only want to talk about two things.
Number one.
I really just wanted to thank you all,
because I just discovered I have over 900 subscribers here on YouTube!
Thank you so much! Yay!
It makes me so happy people enjoy my videos and I'm really so thankful for every subscriber,
every like and every comment.
I especially love the comments, because it makes it possible for me to communicate with you.
So please don't ever hesitate to leave me a message.
I will always respond.
So yeah, thank you so much! 900, it's such an incredible amount.
I can barely believe it, I'm so, so happy! Thank you so much.
Number two.
The second thing I want to talk about is Under the Sea.
Can you please stop that!?
Thank you.
I actually wanted to talk about this event already a little bit before,
but unfortunately I was really busy so I'm going to talk a bit about it now
because my upcoming videos will be all about this event
and to make those a little bit shorter I will talk about the pre-history right now.
Under the Sea is an event organized by Street Fashion Europe.
Street Fashion Europe is an organization consisting of girls from various European countries
who like to organize events for Japanese street fashion lovers.
Two years ago they had an event in London, which was calld Enchanted.
Last year they had an event that was called La Vie en Rose in Paris.
And this year they had an event called Under the Sea in Amsterdam, the Netherlands
which is my country!
A little over a year ago, just after La Vie en Rose,
I was approached by Josine, who is one of my friends and also a Dutch Lolita.
And she is the head Dutch organiser for Street Fashion Europe.
She sent me a message and she told me
there would be a really big Dutch Street Fashion Europe event in the next year.
And she asked whether I wanted to join her Dutch group of organizers.
So of course I said yes!
The idea of having a huge street fashion-related event in my country was so exciting!
And I was so honoured to be asked to join this group.
Of course I said yes!
Anyway, the event was being held in Amsterdam.
The Saturday venue was the Royal Tropical Insitute,
which is a really beautiful building.
Inside it has like twelve kinds of marble and staircases and a grand hall with a stage.
The Sunday venue was the Amstel Hotel,
which is a really famous 5* hotel in Amsterdam.
Famous people sleep there, like George Clooney or Robbie Williams
and it's also a really beautiful venue next to the river.
I'm really happy we had both venues, because they were both amazing
and very beautiful for pictures as well.
Under the Sea had a really impressive guest list.
I still cannot believe we had all these amazing guests.
Our main guest was the classical Lolita brand Juliette et Justine
with their designer Mari Nakamura.
We had Mariko Suzuki.
We had Koitsukihime.
We had Akira.
We had Yu Kimura.
And we had this amazing kimono designer: Mamechiyo.
This guest list was incredible!
It was the biggest headine Street Fashion Europe has ever had, which makes me really proud.
And they were all incredibly lovely people to work with.
I'm really happy we could welcome them to Amsterdam.
Organizing this event was an incredible adventure and I'm so grateful to have been a part of it.
It's been a stressful year, but also a really fun year.
I hope you will enjoy my upcoming videos.
So they will be a little bit different than usual,
because they will not be from a guest point of view, but from an organizer's point of view.
For example I had to be there a little bit earlier, I had to set up things
and I helped during the fashion show doing the technique.
So I hope you will enjoy those videos.
Again thank you so much for 900 subscribers!
I'm really speechless. Thank you so much!
Thank you so much for watching! See you next time.
Bye bye!
