Alexandra Daddario Alexandra Anna Daddario is an American actress.
She is known to film audience for the role of Annabeth Chase in the 2010 film Percy Jackson
& the Olympians: The Lightning Thief which was a commercial success. Daddario was also
in The Squid and the Whale, All My Children, The Babysitters, The Attic, The Hottest State,
White Collar, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and Bereavement. In 2013, she starred as the
main protagonist, Heather Miller, in the horror film Texas Chainsaw 3D, and reprised her role
as Annabeth Chase in Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Sea of Monsters.
Early life Daddario was born in New York City on March
16, 1986, and was raised on the Upper East Side; her parents are lawyers. Her brother
is actor Matthew Daddario. She has Italian, Irish, and Czechoslovakian ancestry.
Career Her first television role did not come about
until she was 16 years old, when she was cast for the role of victimized teen Laurie Lewis
on All My Children. Daddario co-starred with Logan Lerman and
Brandon T. Jackson in Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief, a fantasy-adventure
movie directed by Chris Columbus, which was released on February 12, 2010. Columbus and
Craig Titley adapted the screenplay from The Lightning Thief, the first book of Rick Riordan's
best-selling teens' series, Percy Jackson & the Olympians. Daddario plays Annabeth Chase.
In 2011, she co-starred in the Farrelly Bros' latest comedy, Hall Pass. Daddario also landed
a recurring role on NBC's TV Series Parenthood as Rachel, who serves as a receptionist at
The Luncheonette. She played the main protagonist in the slasher
film Texas Chainsaw 3D. The film was about a young woman who travels to Texas, along
with her friends, to collect an inheritance; little does she know that an encounter with
a chainsaw-wielding maniac is part of the reward. Texas Chainsaw 3D was released in
January 2013. At the end of 2012, Daddario starred in the
music video for Imagine Dragons' "Radioactive". In August 2013, Daddario appeared on an episode
of Chelsea Lately to promote her movie, Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Sea of Monsters,
and to talk about life before her acting career. In 2014, Daddario appeared in a recurring
role as Lisa Tragnetti on the HBO series True Detective.
