The locrian mode is a crazy scale that branches off of the seventh degree of the major scale.
So it's relatively easy to learn because you just back down a half step to the seventh
and there is your mode. For instance, for C you're going to do that with B and you're
going to have a mode, a B mode that's all naturals. Sort of like the phrygian mode but
you get an additional lowered fifth.
Because of that lowered fifth it's something akin a little bit with the blues scale, but
I wouldn't make a direct comparison. It's just something you can kind of slip in there.
