Hi, my name is Veronica Baragas with mywigglesandgiggles.com, and I'd like to share with you a child care
training plan. Now, I'm registered with the state for my home day care, so they give me
a list of child care training that I need to, you know, take care of through out the
year. So this here, and you can find this on your department of family and protective
services website under your child care. So this is not only just for child care providers,
but for also for parents just looking to see what kind of training that we're required
to have. Each care giver counted in the child care ratio must have annual training. So,
we do everything from child growth and development, guidance and discipline, age appropriate curriculum,
child care interaction, you're going to learn how to care with children of special needs,
adult and child health safety, risk management, identification of care of ill children, and
professional development. There's also a few more added on here that depending on your
state if you're required to do or not, but these are definitely recommended, even if
you're not a child care provider and just looking to learn a little bit more about your
child's development as a parent, a nanny, a babysitter. These are some of the things
that you can offer to, as credentials, to who ever it is that you're taking care of.
So I would definitely recommend in looking in to a child care plan.
