Hello! I'll show you how to use fimo sticks and put the patterns on ordinary nails.
First, you should take a blade fitted for this purpose
one that is very sharp and you should also work on a flat and uniform surface .
The most important thing is to cut slices as thin as possible: it is essential for the maintenance of the patterns.
If it is too thick, it will not stick
My first is successful, my second is too thick
This one is also able
Then you apply the same process for all sticks.
You press on the vertical to cut
This one is too thick, so it’s wasted. This one is much better
These two butterfly patterns are pretty good.
And you must keep the blade perfectly vertical
Well perpendicular to the stick
so that the width of the pattern stays uniform and the pattern is full
So here I show you what not to do
I’ve held my blade not perpendicular enough and here’s what I got.
If you want half a grapefruit then you’d rather cut the pattern fully
And then cut it with the blade
Otherwise your stick is going to be bent, it won’t work
So here I cut my pattern and then I cut the halves of fruit
Then to put the fimo I take my top coat, I put a drop
Then I'll grab the slice
And put it on my nail. And I press the ends until the top coat dries and it stops sticking up.
You’ll have to hold it for quite some time
Then it all depends on your top coat: whether it dries quickly or not.
So you press everywhere
And then you see in the image that will appearwhat to do and what not do not
On the left; I didn’t press it, on the right I did
I advise you to use a good top coat for your fimo: the “Seche Vite” or the Poshe
Because they’re both very thick, they’ll give a nice coat to the fimo
They also dry quickly which prevents the fimo from sticking up.
We have to apply two layers on the hands
And a single layer is enough for the feet because toenails usually have a surface that’s a bit more flat. That’s it !
