2nd FLOOR, ART, MEDIA, IT
My name is Borislav Mitev. I maintain the servers
and am ahead of the whole IT team. My job is to take care of the servers
on which the games are stored
/HELP!!!/ so that the players get reliable service and can enter at any time
to get their dose of entertainment.
Considering the time and efforts spent on the development of Version 6 of Imperia Online,
we have taken the necessary precautions
and we have prepared additional hardware with which
we'll ensure the support of the expected higher load
by users wanting to check out the new edition of the game.
My name is Todor Todorov Ignatov - first corridor without swimming trunks.

The art team consists of 18 people, 18 artists.
All of them were carefully selected, all of them are really skilled.
We do not compromise the quality.
I am Dimitar Kolev and I create the videos
of Imperia Online. I always ensure they look good.
You know you are f*d up when your boss takes a picture of you sleeping at your workplace.
I am Hristo Hristov and I am composer and sound designer at Imperia Online.
I am fighting for world peace.
The main requirements for what we create are
everything to be 100% original, to look and sound authentic
and to be of high quality.
For Version 6 we are making documentaries in order to depict the job of the teams
at Imperia Online, the whole massiveness of what they produce.
Also our goal is the viewers not only to get into the game but to get inside
and take a glimpse at the whole work process.
My main task is to write the music for Version 6
and to help with the sound design.

My name is Ivaylo and I am lead of the Support (slash) Translations team.
/AND THIS IS HONEY FROM MY DEAR MOTHER/
The team deals with the translation as well as the support of the game.
It consists of 25-26 people. Everyone of them is responsible for their language,
respectively for the translations and answering to questions from the players.
Are the players eager to see the new version 6?
They are impatient. They are constantly asking about the date on which the new edition will be launched.
Of course, they are thrilled by the new things ahead.
They get information from the videos we share in game
and this provokes even greater interest.
Share with us something that the players shouldn't know beforehand.

I am Danail Alexiev and I am Android Development
Team Lead at Imperia Online.
I drink *** with cola, gin with soda and pina-colada with the female colleagues.
Our task is to produce android applications
which work as clients for the web version of the game.
In this way we give the opportunity to the great number of players,
who cannot be all the time in front of their computers,
to keep an eye on their empire.
The idea is to provide our players, as quick as possible,
with the full functionality of the game.
In order to do this we are at initial phase
but we have started implementing the village.
I am lucky to work with colleagues who are very well trained technically.
Plus, they have a very good maths background which helps enormously.
Especially in relation to those complicated problems
of the village -- maths is something of great importance.
People who can improvise,who can think of a wise solution to a math problem,
are of great help.
Who are greater art masters - the developers or the artists?
Oh, the artists for sure. An artist -- it is not only the improvisation skills,
it is a state of the mind.
We, the developers, are interesting people but the people of the arts -
they are just a separate ranking. There's no way we can stand against them.
My name is Tihomir Tomov. I've been working for the company for 5-6 years now.
At the moment I am team-lead of the guys who deal with the implementation of
the iPhone application of Imperia Online.
Which are the biggest hardships the iPhone Apps Team faces?
Well, the hardships...I don't know. Maybe our location inside the company
is the biggest problem. You see next to us are the Android Team and the female colleagues over there
who distract us all the time.
This kind of difficulties.
Which of the two teams is the better?
Of course, our team.
Because we are just better, our phones are cooler,
we are way more handsome. I mean, we are light years ahead of them.
They are showing middle fingers at the moment which shows their low level, so ...
this can tell you the whole story.
At work we are in hell. In our team work only people
with iron nerves and extreme will, great zeal.
As you see, they are distracted during the whole day.
Promote version 6 to me.
Well, we are getting involved in the development quite late but we've had a look
at some things the Web, the Game Design
and Art teams are making. And they are really impressive.
The village, the global map, the art -- they are all light years ahead
of all that's in Version 5 and even other products on the market.
You know that most of us from the team are gamers
and we can't wait for 1st September to come because Version 6 will be something tremendous.
4th FLOOR, PRODUCT MANAGEMENT, DEVELOPMENT TEAM, QA, HR
My name is Petko Seymenarov and I am lead of the Web Development Team at Imperia Online.
Version 6 is a qualitative change compared to Version 5.
It's a new step in the game's development.
It's an almost completely redesigned version 5.
Who are the most handsome guys in your team?
/THE HANDSOME GUY NEXT TO ME WILL STAY OVERTIME./ We haven't performed a beauty contest but if we make one, you'll be notified of the results.
Everyone of us wants Version 6 to be ready on time
and all planned functionalities to be finalized
so that players could get enormous pleasure out of playing it.
What will happen if you don't manage to meet the deadline?
The last threat was that we won't go to the next team building,
if we don't finish on time so we must do it.
A DEMONSTRATOR: WE WANT 6H OFFLINE BLOCK
My name is Yoanna, for the fifth time, and I am product manager of Imperia Online.
Can we say that you are in charge of the parade?
Without any modesty, yes, I command at least part of the parade.
My whole work is focused exclusively on Version 6.
What will happen if you do not meet the deadline?
Oh, we will manage to finish on time. I trust all the colleagues who are involved in this project.
Who are the most beautiful people in your team?
Of course, the girls.
Version 6 is a serious raise of the bar in all aspects:
from gameplay point of view, from a visual aspect, the people involved working on the product,
the attention to detail, the global concept --
the bar for everything is raised high.
To our rival companies I could only say: 'I am sorry. It was absolutely on purpose.'
My name is Stanimira and I lead the Project Management Team at Imperia Online.
We are a small team of 3 ladies. We are responsible for the projects of the company
in order for them to be fulfilled in the best possible way
and most importantly within the deadlines ensuring highest quality.
Considering the fact that there are over 70 people involved in the project at this point
the coordination is not easy but I think we are doing great.

Amazing art and sound, interesting gameplay... And a lot of time has passed, little time is left.

What does your team do during the day, apart form hacking the game?
We do not hack the game, we test the modules and check if they perform as they are expected to.
We check if everything is OK in the game, or with the Android and iPhone applications.
What are the main tasks for your team related to version 6?
What do you mean?
Testing everything because Version 6
has great amount of changes, loads of new functionalities
and the game needs to be tested thoroughly with all its interactions and modules. And all the problems.
What is the thing that players will like most in Version 6?
The Great People module. It is burning hot, interesting,
it suggests many in game hours.
My name is Nina Goneva, HR Manager and I am fighting for world peace.
What is our main job? Our team's main role is
to find and attract the best IT specialists
and show them that to work for the most played
Bulgarian game is a real pleasure.
Why would people want to come and work in our company?
Because we are the best.
We have a great product, we have a great company,
we have incredible team, exceptional know-how
that everyone would appreciate.
And most of all, we rely on the desire
of people to work with fun and create games.
There is a great shortage of IT specialists in Bulgaria as a whole.
However, we manage to deal with this in our own way --
our IT school for developers: Imperia Online Training Camp.
We decided to put our efforts and energy in the training of young people,
instead of spending time and effort on stealing them from other companies.
Did you manage to provide enough people for Version 6?
The last year was one really dynamic year for the company.
We grew with great speed and, obviously,
we managed to hire the right people
who play decisive roles in Version 6.
Version 6 is, without doubt, the greatest in scale
and the most ambitious project of Imperia Online.
