"Conversation with Divaldo Franco".
Hello!
It's starting now another program "Conversation with Divaldo Franco".
Do you know what is "spiritual obsession"?
How can we notice the spiritual obsession?
Follow the interview!
What is spiritual obsession and how it starts?
According to Spiritism, spiritual obsession
is a disembodied spirit's intervention on an incarnate person.
Making obsession is a way of controlling someone emotionally, physically or psychologically.
However, there is obsession between an incarnate person on other incarnate person,
when the disturbing possessive ideas unfold, i.e., desire of possessing and mastering.
The best way to arise an obsession is through our debts.
We're all spirits walking on the long road to progress.
We have today's debts and yesterday's debts.
Allan Kardec explains it properly in The Gospel According to Spiritism,
chapter 5 - Blessed are the afflicted - "Causes of present-day afflictions" and "Past causes of afflictions".
All acts performed by us, good or evil, reflect themselves in our own lives, through gains or losses.
In the spiritual obsessions,
there is always the presence of a vindictive spirit.
Victimized by hatred, he desires revenge and causes distresses to those who had unleashed these attacks (in previous lives).
So, this spirit may be linked since the process of reincarnation, initializing his bad actions
or any time of life as well.
Spiritual obsession may have an outbreak, a sudden outbreak, likewise a depression outbreak, a schizophrenic outbreak,
and it can be a process of a slow manifestation, likewise neurosis, psychotic disorder.
So, there is variety of manifestations and the way of spiritual obsessions show up.
Is there difference between to be under spiritual influence and to be obsessed?
Yes, there is a big difference.
The influence is transitory.
It might be momentary.
It might be an unusual occurrence.
Obsession is an incidence which becomes recidivism,
until the moment that the spirit subjugates the incarnate person, passing to master him.
I can influence someone, but I can't master him.
If the influence is pernicious
and persistent,
becomes an obsession.
For Spiritism, spiritual obsession means mental influence from incarnate person to disembodied person
or vice versa.
Causes and sorts of this interference are varied,
coming in a simple way
or in a more complex way, resulting even in the complete loss of someone's life control.
Researchers, who work under a physical point of view, are searching medicaments
which can heal the obsession.
And psychodynamic researchers are seeking therapies for helping the individual to control better his own thoughts.
Although many medics admit that to get better results is necessary treatments which consider various approaches,
most of them ignore the existence of the spiritual world, resulting in incomplete and ineffective treatments.
A proof that this relationship between body and spirit can be very positive
is the work done with bearers of special needs,
assisted by "Casa André Luiz".
This theme became the master's thesis of Doctor Frederico Camelo Leão
and have been investigating by several researchers.
In addition to the medical and technical treatment, (Casa André Luiz - CAL - Clinical Director)
the change of behavior and clinical picture of the patient
is also influenced by spiritual treatments:
prayers, energizing from afar, mediumistic meetings...
The basis of the spiritual treatment is someone's inner reformation.
Without inner reformation, without changing, without moral improvement,
the situation is the same of an allergic person (obsessed person) who keeps contact with the allergic agent (obsessing spirit).
These negative thoughts act like real magnets attracting the living or the dead.
Thoughts breed feelings.
Feelings are transformed into emotions.
Today there is much talk about spiritual obsession and depression as well.
So, what is this phenomenon?
It's abandonment of a reason for living.
People who have a reason for living, become immune or, at least, resistant to this sort of problem.
In the current evolutionary stage of humanity,
we find many difficulties in our path to keep our ideas in a high moral degree.
Nevertheless, both faith and desire for change
can be our shields against the influence of potential obsessing spirits
or to prevent us becoming obsessing persons of someone else.
Therefore, Jesus' orientation to "watch and pray" our own thoughts.
How can the family members notice the spiritual obsession?
For spiritual attendance, the obsessed person must be present?
Watch the next block.
We'll back soon.
