Kalafatis Beach

If you're looking to do some fun water sports, Kalafatis beach is the spot. Located 14 km
southeast of Chora and a short 3.5 km from Ano Mera, visitors can get there by bus, rental
or taxi. Its rugged, underdeveloped beauty backed by local tamarisk trees attracts crowds
of summer sports lovers where they will find facilities for beach volleyball, windsurfing
and a diving school. The beach is well organized to offer visitors a choice of hotels and restaurants
where the lesser sports-inclined traveler can equally enjoy a leisurely swim and a cocktail
under the sun. Additionally, travelers can take in a nice swim and fresh seafood on a
small sandy beach known as Agia Anna quietly located just off the edge of Kalafatis, next
to a quaint fishing port and farms for a more traditional experience.
