Paint.net Tutorial Number 101 - Retouching

Hello. Today I'm going to show you how to retouch a photo. So go to file - open. And open a photo that you want to retouch. So now I'm going to show you how to fix blemishes. And... Choose lasso select tool. Change selection mode to add. And lets zoom in a little. And draw like kinda shapes around all blemishes. So then you done go to effects - noise - median. Click ok. Deselect. I left some so I'm going to fix them also. So after that, then you done this dublicate layer. And go to effects - blurs - surface blur. And the surface blur - blurs everything exept edges while gaussian blur - blurs everything. So yeah. Thats only the difference. So choose your settings and click ok. Now go to this layer properties and change opacity to something about like this. So choose eraser tool. And erase like eye, like something that you want to keep sharp. So we have fixed blemishes, we have smoothed out the skin. So merge this layer down. And thats it. I'll import my original picture. And this is the original. And this is the with fixed blemishes and soften face. So bye.
