Hi, I'm Karen Kackley. I'm Pam Borowski.
And I'm Eileen Grodziak. And we're here today to talk about
Biology Without Borders. If you're like us, you may be on a bare bones budget
but that doesn't mean you can't have great teaching tools in your tool box. For example,
nature text. This allows you to replace
a high cost textbook with a low cost or no cost alternative.
Leaf Snap, these are applications
that can be used on iPads that can do things such as teach students how
to identify trees. Doceri, with Doceri
students can keep up with their work or study for tests.
Lab Intro, we can record lab introductions
so students can see up close procedures.
Pro Scope, we have a microscope that fits
onto an iPad that can be taken into the field and the wonderful thing is no
learning curve, it simply uses the camera on the iPad. Teaching Unprepared Students,
we'll also give you low-tech tips for increasing
student learning. Come see us at the TLT
at 1:15.
