Installation of a Brophy Recessed Trailer D - Ring tie down - Etrailer

All right. Today on this flatbed trailer were going to install part number RR5K. This is Brophys Recessed Trailer D Ring, the tiedown kit with the backing plate and hardware. In this case, were going to install into the floor, onto the plank. Were going to center up as best as possible. Well be using the backing plate first. Now, on the backing plate, well make some marks at the center of our holes. Then well put our backing plate into location on the bed and well go ahead and make a cross in the middle of it to find our exact center. At the exact center well go ahead and drill out a 1/4 inch pile hole. All right. To drill out our hole for the D ring were going to use a 3 inch hole saw.
