My name is Stephen Zinone, and I'm a Registered Professional Reporter. I'm an official reporter
for the 7th judicial district located in Rochester, New York. I'm assigned to the Ontario County
Courthouse in beautiful Canandaigua, New York. I'm immediate past president of the New York
State Court Reporters Association. I'm also on the board of directors of the National
Court Reporters Association. And my message to the students is this: You are on the track
to a wonderful career. Even though at times I know it's challenging, but remember, reach
out to a mentor, come to a convention, become engaged. We are all in this together, because
all of us create one big opportunity for us all to succeed. It will take you places that
you never can imagine you'd find yourself, in situations that will be over the top. And
you'll get the best seat in the house, sitting ringside, at an event that will just change
your life. Enjoy it, but network. We're all in this together. And thank you for choosing
this career, because it's been very, very good to me, as well as a lot of other people,
dating back to the time of Cicero.
