Héctor Vidal Rivas: From my point of view World Fashion Organization is something
very important for all Fashion Week member countries, like Argentina Fashion
Week, and any other fashion week in the world, because it will empower all of us,
spreading Fashion Weeks and generating important business, non only for
international organizations but the national designers too, whom will be
positioned in the World within international schedules. So I think World
Fashion Organization is, with no doubt, a very important platform to the overall
growth for all, pointing in the same direction so being able in this manner
integrate into the world fashion scene.
Dra. MARCELA CARDILLO: Every way of spreading and promoting the creative
industry is always interesting for us. It is fundamental, to maintain the identity that
make us being so diverse and attractive for the World. I believe fashion left to be
an elite class thing. It has to be with conduct patterns, and other global
factors. It has to do with an identity subject. With the tradition from and
between generations. The Productive Identities program, coming since 2005,
promotes the continuity of the process through a join task into the various
Ministries, as Cristina Fernández, President of Argentina, develops
Productive Identities. Micro-credit programs generates a tool for artisans to
become productive.
Dra. KARINA YAROCHEVSKI: We are very to happy to participate in Argentina
Fashion Week, thanks to the space they provide to the social economy
entrepreneurs from all over Argentina, to be part and be able to show every
craftsmanship and designs on the runway. Products fundamentaly joined to
natural value, and ancestral essence of our country. Throughout the Social
Development Ministry we work very strongly for social inclusion. Guiding
people that bets into their work, who aspire to have a better qualitty of life. We
work with the concept of fair trade. It means the possibility of direct sales
between manufactures and consumers, another important foundation in which
people have the possibility of buying directly to the representant entrepeneurs
of the culture of our country. Our Micro-credit interventions and programs
allow entrepreneurs to access small credits to obtain raw material, capital
assets for business establishment. Currently, we have more than 800,000
people that access micro-credit programs in Argentina. Near 60% of micro-credit
whole of capital goes to the textile industry. All this tools we provide from
the Social Development Ministry make entrepreneurs to empower self
confidence and hope, providing opportunities to live in a more fair
country, with equality rights.
SUSI FROSASCO: The people that we participate in this kind of event come
mostly from the midlands and agricultural areas, then we haven’t got access to the
industry, but thanks to the Social Development Nation Ministry, we are now
linking with the World Fashion Organization, this is really very important
for us because we didn’t know one each other before. I feel gratefull and hope this
is an starting point for many people in terms to benefit of the exchange. The
intrigue of the life allow us to improve.
SANDRA DECARLI: This is a chain, we received a call from Social Development,
and who appears..., the World Fashion Organization, finally designers not
famous, even in their own region, are now going out to the World.
CARMEN MILLAN: Our objetive is keeping on growing. We are independent
looking for a place to settle and continue growing.
GRACIELA SALVATIEGA: This is so beautiful, and very big for me, all looked
amazing, well, at list for me, but big, big, I never dreamed to be here.
RAMON BAIRROGIA: Yes, This is a dream for all of us to see our designs dressing
the models, even more inside the ambient it is being showcasing here. We cannot
believe at all that we are able to show here our culture and the things we do
coming from a very small village as most of us come. I am still in a cloud.
NORMA FLORES: It has been a great experience for me. It´s being a great
growth for us and for our institution, to show what we do, so people know about
it and can expand, so we can sell and have more commercialization.
CRISTINA GUZMAN: We really valorate and appreciate what Social Development
Nation Ministry is doing for us. The ministry supported us through all the
chain, training, education and point of sales. The Ministry supported not only all
of us, but all the developments, our families children and communities as well.
FLAVIO FLORES: Thanks God we have seeing the fruits of our work represented
on the models body, seeing people clapping is beautiful, fantastic, it was
something we never imagined to live such a wonderful experience.
PABLO RIVERO:I believe World Fashion Week is providing a unique opportunity to
designers and artist, with this initiative World Fashion Week gives the right
opportunitty to many artist that really have a great potential, creativity,
capacity... they are meritor to be here.
Dra. MARCELA CARDILLO: Not everybody have the sufficient resources
to launch a store to sell their designs. I think fashion is effortly joined to the
culture of Argentina. This is our input from the Secretariat, is a support based
on economic training. Artisans enjoy absolut freedom of forms and textures
for manufacturing, colors, all very diverse. They are covered for this training
by the Seretariat and University, so the can later commercialize their products
and make business. Commemorating the Bicentenary, last year we organized a
Fashion Show recreating historical times that included in the runways the
showcase Productive Identities and it was a truly luxury to witness, it is incredible
the creativity they have.
I wish lost of success to World Fashion Week, in many other editions, to continue
in time with its social labor always in the terms of humanity colaboration and
solidarity. I truly wish best of success in many editions to come.
GABRIEL LAGE: World Fashion Week is a fabulous initiative, specially for
Argentinian designers, where it hasn´t been an easy journey for designers
nowadays because of the crisis and just now we are having step by step presence
in the international market and that´s a fabulous thing for the whole world and
designers, it is necessary, there are so many talent that is not known, this will
help them to become known, its is a fantastic opportunity, with no doubt, for
everything that is design in the world.
ENRIQUE MEYER: The participation of our country during World Fashion Week
and to accomplish an outstanding selection to represent it, it is very
important for the Argentinian Design.
HECTOR VIDAL: The 1st Annual World Fashion Week I think is very important for
all Designers and countries, because it will open new international commercial
avenues for all, so Argentinian designers can become visible to the world. I think it
will be of vital importance for all designers,
and fashion weeks around the world
