Welcome to The Deadman Bay Cabin
Only accessible by boat or an hour long floatplane flight the cabin is located on the south east tip of Kodiak Island
The cabin is 24' by 32' and has 8 sleeping platforms
The cabin has an oil stove for heating that uses kerosene, heating fuel, or diesel
One to three gallons of fuel for each day should be sufficient for your stay
A propane stove is also available for heating but please bring your own supply both of propane and oil
For drinking water a fresh water stream is located 1/4 mile west of the cabin
Please remember to always use a water filter or boil drinking water
There are several recreational opportunities available at this cabin including wildlife viewing, photography, fishing, and hunting
July and August are the best months for fishing pink salmon and dolly varden
while August and September are good for fishing silver salmon
The cabin also makes a good base for bear, mountain goat, and deer hunting
