Hi, I'm Jane and today I'm making Nicolette's super spinach chocolate milk. "Hi, Nicolette,
how are you?" Nicolette wrote me the other day when I made that chocolate creation that
she was in a cocoa mood and she had sent me her super spinach chocolate milk and I want
to make it today. It's simple and easy with just three ingredients so there's no reason
not to make it and enjoy it. It's full of spinach and chocolate. Nicolette wrote, "Jane,
I have an amazing smoothie that I think you should try. Two bananas..." and I happen to
have ripe bananas frozen, so you can use ripe bananas, either fresh or frozen. And look,
make sure they're ripe. These are not quite ripe, I want to wait for them to get the brown
sugar spots on them. That way the starch inside has converted to sugar and they're at the
peak of their taste and nutrition. And of course, if they all ripen at the same time,
you peel them and you freeze them and then they're ready to go.Then Nicolette says, "Add
spinach, two large handfuls, and two tablepsoons of cocoa powder. Use your favorite cocoa powder.
You can use the raw cacao or the chocolate powder you like. And then one cup of water
or almond milk. Today I'm making it with water so I can keep it simple. Nicolette goes on
to say, "It's ike a super charged version of chocolate milk." You're right, Nicolette,
that is delicious. You don't even need the almond milk. If you want to cut down on the
calories or the hassle, just use water, it's good. I definitely taste the chocolate, which
is what we want to taste when we're using chocolate. All that spinach is in there. Spinach
with chlorophyll, oxygen and water, so good for us, treats us so well. Love getting my
greens. Thank you, Nicolette, for sending in this recipe.
