yes so i thought id talk to you guys about my
alcohol rocket stove, my last video is pretty sketchy
I was showing it to some friends in a public spot so
didn't want to let it get too big. It's pretty simple really it's just the
bottom
two bottoms of pop cans, I used beers cans, doesn't really matter
the bottom of one is cut-out and this is the top piece
that's the one that will uh, it will sit inside
the bottom and the ridges
in the side they let alcohol in and
the metal will heat up evaporating alcohol and turning them into
little jets,uh, the
inner-wall, doesn't really do anything , it might keep pressure up and
act as structure but it will work without it
so it just goes together like that and the holes
at the top need to sit just above the bottom (*the top of the bottom wall)
not below it and not too far above it's not too critical but
mumble mumble mumble
change the lighting time (of the jets): so it's just
75 percent rubbing alcohol. You can use a higher percentage
it will burn hotter (lower flashpoint) probably light faster
as its lighting I, uh, the flame kinda goes all over the place
so I built this can with
channels in the sides of it, looks kinda like a turbine
it'll focus the heat
inside of the can, so it'll get
uh, like you could boil a pot of water on it much quicker, heat stuff much quicker too
as it heats up, the alcohol will evaporate and you'll hear a
popping sound
it's starting to light
not fully lit yet
so this is where the can comes into
place
and this outside can will
limit the amount of oxygen it gets
into the fire so and it'll also pre-heat the air
you can notive a flame difference with and without it
and don't do what I did in the last video and grab this can, it's
very hot, I actually hurt myself, use plyers
and when putting fire
don't blow on it, smother it
