This is Vijaykarthik and this is my Virtual automation Project 2. This project is that
of a liquid level control system...This is the Simulink Diagram for the Control system.
In this diagram you can see several subsystems, this is a subsystem for Gains and this one
here records the parameter values into the Matlab's Worspace, this one here finds the
outflow rate based on the actual water height and then the outflow area of the outlet pipe,
This one here finds the actual height based on the inflow rate outflow rate and then the
area of the tank.. now moving on to the model this is the model which has been chosen for
my project and i have chosen a water bottle packaging industry and once you animate the
project you can see the fork lift picking up the boxes and then loading it into the
truck and then the truck moves once it's been loaded, now in this you can see that when
you open the outlet valve the packaging process starts and when the water level in the tank
hits zero what happens is.. the.. there is no water to fill and the process stops now zooming
into the control system you can see that there are three parameters that can be controlled
the desired level, the jet area and the tank area..now when the desired level is increased
...the inlet valve opens and allows the water through the inlet pipe and then the PID controller
controls the water level in the tank and maintains an equilibrium, now you can see there is animation
given to the outlet valve as well, so when i open my jet area my valve opens and the
water flows out, now with the tank area i can control the rate at which the water is
been filled in or the water..the rate at which the water goes out of the pipe...so increasing
the tank area reduces the rate at which its filled...now coming to the signals part..in
the signals the green light shows that the actual level is lesser than the desired level,
so the water is being pumped in to make it equal to the desired level but when my red
light glows it means that my desired level is less than the actual level so my water
is being pumped out to make it come to the equlinrium.
Now when i close my jet area and increase my desired level what happens is the water
is pumped to the extreme..full..condition..now the yellow light glows, yellow light glows
when my desired level is equal to my actual level so this is the state of zero error,
now coming back to the industry you can find that the truck which was loading up here has
out of the plant because its already been loaded...so this is the simulation which i
had done for my project... Thank you for watching.
