Welcome to Epic Tutorials and in this video we are going to give you our list
of the top 10 photography apps for iPhone and iPad, to help you capture
and create better looking shots in 2013.
First up we have PureShot for the iPhone and iPad, available for $1.99
in the App Store and this is our favorite professional filter free camera app,
designed to give you the best quality possible, by allowing you to shoot in the
vastly superior dRAW TIFF format over the standard JPEG
needless to say this app offers full manual exposure and focus, as well as
white balance lock. It's simple interface professional features and dRAW format
makes is one of the best camera apps available on the iphone.
Next up we have camera+ for iphone and ipad, and at the moment it is
available for the special discounted price of $0.99.
Whilst it only supports jpeg, this app sports one of the best user interfaces of
any camera app, allowing you to manually adjust focus and exposure independently
of each other.
Not only that, it offers as a ton of awesome editing features including scenes
manually image adjustments, crop
a ton of effects and boarders, making this a must have all-in-one camera app.
For a readout of ISO, f-stop and shutter speed, make sure you have
live exposure selected from the menu, and make sure quality is set to high.
Coming in at number three we have the beloved
iPhone only Hipstamatic, available for $1.99 in the app store.
And this is the complete opposite of our previous camera apps.
Forget about manual settings and high quality compression formats
Hipstamatic is all about getting cool, old-school, low-fi retro shots and
it does this incredibly well
you can change lens and film combinations for different results, and this app has
more in-app-purchases than you can poke a stick at!
a fun point and shoot camera capable awesome truly cool looks.
Our Epic Pro Tip: Again you can use the volume button on the camera or
headphones to take a picture
But if you click and hold the volume button it will enter burst mode.
you can also double tap of the viewfinder to enter full-screen, or alternatively
hit the minus volume key.
Tap and hold old anywhere in the frame to force focus and make sure you set the lens slider
to the top for the highest quality image.
Coming in at number four we have Pro HDR available for the iphone and ipad
at $1.99.
This app is insanely powerful and offers auto and manual HDR exposure modes.
In manual mode simply drag each exposure handle to the darkest and brightest part
of your image, and take a photo.
it offers an excellent adjustment tools as well as a large selection of funky
effects into that sort of thing.
Coming in at number five we have AntiCrop available for iphone and iPad
at ninety nine cents
this one trick pony will allow you to a uncrop your image, and by that it means
artificially extend your image beyond the original frame captured. It's success
depends on the relative simplicity of your background
Just tap and drag, and it will extend it for you. Now we get into the image editing apps
with apples very own iPhoto, available for iphone and ipad for $5.49
this is probably our favorite user interface and a great selection of
editing tools that fully takes advantage of the iOS multi-touch gestures.
You can even customized basic interface layout and the ability to brush on effects
provides a truly awesome experience for retouching photos.
Our Pro Tip: Click and hold to select multiple images on the site thumbnail bar,
to view them side by side, then simply swipe down on an image to remove it.
Perfect for evaluating your shots.
Our next image editing app is Snapseed available for iphone and ipod as well as
android, and it's free.
this app offers a really cool way of working with images
first select the function and then drag up and down to select a
parameter
and then swipe left and right to adjust its intensity
Our Pro Tip:
pinch in and out to adjust the size of the affected area
and any filter with a blue dot means it can be repositioned by simply dragging it.
Tt number eight we have FilterStorm available as a standard version for $4.49
or premium version at a whopping fifteen dollars!
this is one of the most professional and feature-rich image available on
the iphone or ipad, it has all the professional image adjustments you could
ever need, but especially notable is that it allows you to save automated tasks and
reapply them as well as add your own custom watermark. At number nine our final image
editing app is the newly released Adobe Photoshop for phone, available
for $4.99 and this is a real joy to use.
Tt features most of the tools we are used to from the desktop version including
clone and magic wand. Offers full layer support and is one of the easiest yet
most powerful image editors around, and whilst it does need
to support images over twelve megapixels,
offer layer masking and improved crop feature, this is impeccably designed and
offers PSD export.
And coming in at number ten we have Instagram which is free on the app store,
it's one of the best ways to share your photos created with the above apps
be inspired by others, and get feedback from your fellow photographers.
Our Pro Tip: Make sure you use relevant hash tags to help others find your shots
if you're not sure what tags are popular, you can use sites like web.stagram.com/hot
