Astrophotography Tutorial #3 Color, Saturation [full Hd] / Barwa Ds'u

Hi, welcome in new episode about processing your astrophotography in PS Lets go ! Ok, lets start from selecting brighter stars, when you did it, then click CTRL+C and CTRL+V You have just added a new layer, where are matched only stars Anything you will do, will work only on stars Dont be afraid of this powerfull color, which we have now It will be removed, or should i say blurred Use Gaussian Blur, amount 15-20 pixels I will use 15-16 radius This is all about stars saturation Now, lets begin with nebulas color Wait a sec i got a little problem with layers here I will only show you process, color on your photo will be totally diffrent Click Color/Saturation, if you dont want to work on stars then use a inverted star mask Saturation - we change it only a little on huge objects, it depends about size and color You can change channel at which you are workin right now Well this photo hasnt much blue and green I would like to lower crimson And rise yellow Next step is selective color Here you can change /everything!/ connected with colors At first you pick color that you would like to work on You can add or deduct other colos from this one, and create something completly diffrent For ex. if I add black to red, then this photo would be darker where red was. You can combinate this in really many ways Next step is shadows/backlights Its also very important if you have problems with curves and levels Backlight increases brigtness of photo Shadows of course works very similary to curves Next one is : Color balance Its very important, quite complicated tool Here you can change everything with histogram Its able to fix color of photo, less background Its better than Color/Saturation tool You change colors on shadows/half-shadows/backlights I used here very strong change, just wanted to show how it works Backlight are mostly stars, half-shadows are nebulas etc and shadows is background I think, that i should add a little crimson and red.
