And when Zakariya entered on her chamber, in the chamber and found sustenance near her,
he asked, O Maryam/Mary, how is this for you,
where are you getting from this sustenance?
She said, It is from the nearness of Allah.
Surely Allah gives sustenance whom He wills without any counting/calculation.
So in this ayah I just want to make a point that Zakariya was taking care of Maryam/Mary
and from the childhood.
Some people think in the manner that
as a grown-up. No. She grew from the very little, she grew and was taken care,
she was being taken care or the charge was Zakariya (pbuh).
He was taking care of her
from the very childhood like a guardian.
In the Arabic itís kafeel and that is taking charge, taking the responsibility.
That is the main point in this ayah.
It was not that she had some - Astaghfarullah - had relationship with Zakariya
that is the wrong concept prevailing in the world.
Some peopleÖyou know hook and crook they want toÖput something
ÖIím trying to emphasize is this that she grew from the child
and he was taking care of her as responsible and Maryam was also,
when she was getting sustenance from Allah.
Itís not clarified in the ayahs what sustenance but we can safely say she was communicating with God,
she was bowing down and prostrating and she was having communication with Allah and He was providing sustenance.
.Sustenance is everything that Allah provides for our livelihood.

Now the time comes how the good news was given to Maryam of Essa (pbuh)
The birth will take place.
So it is mentioned in
Now when the angel said,
O Maryam/MaryÖNow this is a good news or the news is given, a prophecy is given,
Basharat is given to Maryam
of a word from Allah
and his name will be Al Maseeh Essa, ibne Maryam. Total.
His full name is Al Maseeh Essa ibne Maryam.
Within the name is the answer.
You see, normally in the Quraían, if you note,
Allah says, call your sons by the names of the fathers
and in the Arabic world, in the Arab world,

No one is called by the name of the mother.
Exception is here. His name would be Usmul MaseehEssa, Ibne Maryam.
Christ Jesus, son of Maryam/Mary.
That is the good news, complete name.
Meaning she is notÖEssa (pbuh) will be born of Maryam only
- of Maryam only.
Thatís the point. Al-Maseeh Essa Ibne Maryam.
Well generally in the Quraían is from the fatherís progeny.
Here itís referred as Al Maseeh Essa Ibne Maryam.
And further it says

Now, as a female, apparent female,
she is using her logic, how can he be a son from me
when no human has touched me?
You must look at the answer.
It says, Even so

When the order is complete,
then surely He said Be for him and he was.
This is the understanding that we have to understand.

How? If she was only a female, how?
That is the Allah says, Allah knows more what she was,
what she gave when she was born.
The problem is if you go into science and try to understand
theÖif the women are born or the females are born, they have born by two X-chromosomes.

So male birth is by X and Y.

So she says, how can I have a son when no human has touched me?
So what Al;lah says, likewise
- like from the Maryam a child will be born

The spirit comes.
When He said Be! The spirit comes.
And when the order is complete He said Be and it was.
To complete the process,
the order of Allah should come.
And when the order is there the spirit comes.
When the order is, the spirit comes.

In the case of Maryam (pbuh) the spirit came to her.
The order that came, order was that likewise youíll have a son, to her psychology.

That is why never ever this thing has occurred in the lifetime,

And Allah made her a sign.
Like Firoan is preserved. There are not hundreds of Firoans. One Firoan is preserved as a sign.
So sign means, you can verify.
There are people like this but production is only for Maryam and Essa (pbuh) was born.
So this she made aÖShe and her son was made a sign.

But this was an unusual case, He produced - itís easy for Him
- and for Us We will make him a sign and a mercy .
A sign means again, you can see in the world that He did this.
So further it says in
In these two verses you come to know itís the conception that has taken place - she conceived him
- then she separated with him, that is with Jesus, to a remote place,
a distant place in time.
means a place, distant time, meaning immemorial,
meaning long time ago.
Itís there. She went to a ÖNow you have toÖwe have to seeÖwe have come to knowÖhow she was conceived.
