Ahh yeah, ok, ok I've got it What is it about Nathaniel? What is it? Tell us again please? Whats goin on beautiful people it's Nathaniel GE. Yes, im still alive, no, this channel is not dead Actually this video is perfect for exactly why you didn't see a lot of videos. The question is. Does perfectionism, prevent your progress I feel like perfectionism is like, the thing that personally has slowed me down the most when it comes to most things. Especially in terms of being creative. And like, putting things out there. Because, in my head and in your head. We have this like, amazing vision of what we want to do. Because we have this great taste. And we know that that thing we put out If we do it. It's not gonna be that end product. Its not gonna be our masterpiece You know what I mean? We're just putting out something here. But in our head, we're at this level. And we don't wan't everyone to see 'this' level. No. I want them to see 'this'. This is whats in my head, but 'this' is all I was able to do And then what happens, for me especially, is.. I think so far ahead about things.. that I will see the outcome and then i'll think Ok i'm not even gonna bother doing it because its not gonna be the outcome that I want it to be The long term outcome. Its not gonna be, that high quality, sick video that I want people to watch With like the slick shots and the timelapse and.. You know what I mean? It's gonna be me attempting to do that But it won't be at that full stage yet. I think, everyone does this to some extent but.. The question of the video is, 'does perfectionism prevent progress' and I think it definitely does for me and for most people Alright so I thought why not search perfectionism quotes online and see what 'collected' thoughts.. Which you can watch above And I love this quote (narrating quote) And that quote is by Dragos Roua Looking at my channel you probably would not be able to see that I would well, one of the things I would like to do is film making and like videography especially like documentaries and music videos just telling stories and.. cool stuff. But, I can start with this.. There is a documentary I made in my final year at University I studied video and film production It's called Cape Connection and its about.. I think the tag line was 'A returned volunteers story' So basically. Its about 8 or 9 minutes And its about me, reflecting on my time volunteering in Cape Town from the perspective of me being back in London, reflecting on it. Because you know, so many people go away and they do these amazing things. And then there's that thing when you come back to your home country What happens then like, how do you carry on after that? Like whats goin through your mind and stuff And I kind of wanted to pick up on that a bit. How has perfectionism stopped you from doing things? Like what projects or things would you have done that you didn't because of your perfectionism? That's the question I would love if you could answer it in the comments. Im gonna upload that documentary. Its gonna be the next upload. Im not gonna change it, I wont film extra stuff, its just gonna be as it is And i'll upload it and hopefully thats gonna push me to make more documentaries. We're on the See You In 5 journey and this is one thing that This is one big hurdle. If we can get over this hurdle, thats another thing that we are gonna tick off our list. And its gonna open up possibilities and opportunities for us Everything can just change in one day. But it cant change if everything stays in here If you put it out there.. who knows what can happen man. i'm sorry if i'm rambling in this video.
