Understanding how much money California public employees earn just got a whole lot easier.
The California State Controller’s Office is proud to introduce new tools that allow
the public to study and better interpret compensation data for more than 1.5 million positions,
including many employees of the state, counties, cities, higher education and special districts.
The tools may be accessed at publicpay.ca.gov.
You’re invited to browse salaries in your community. Find your county to see a snapshot
of average wages. Let’s look at Alameda County.
