Top 5 Hopes for Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee Finally, the day we’ve all been waiting for, Tuesday… oh yeah, and we got new Pokemon Games confirmed today. The long awaited pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee have been confirmed as the newest Pokemon games for the Nintendo Switch. With new generations of pokemon we see game freak make drastic changes whether it be graphics, a new story or new Pokemon, we as Pokemon fans have so much to look forward to with new generations of Pokemon games. So today I’m bringing you guys my Top 5 Hopes for Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s go Eevee. I decided to do this video early on before Game Freak could crush all my hopes, we don’t really know much about the games . But without further ado, let’s get started. #5. A Time Skip Of course with Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee we are returning to the Kanto region. While Kanto is great and all… Its honestly not one of my favorite regions. One way I feel like it would be better though is with a Time skip. It has already been confirmed that these games are already based on the original Pokemon yellow, but who’s to say that it cant take place in the future. For one, the protagonists have changed, what if its because Red and Blue are Grown up? But then again look at Oak, if red and blue were older at all it would mean he would be too, and it looks like he hasn’t aged one bit. A time skip would essentially add something new, instead of plain old Kanto. If the games took place 20 years in the future it could mean that there are lots of things different with the region. Landscapes could have changed, cities could look bigger and there could be a lot less empty lands and routes. #4. Mega Evolution Returning One of my favorite features to ever be included in a Pokemon game has to be Mega Evolution. In generation 7 Game Freak decided to make the shift of their main focus from Mega Evolution to Z-Moves. When the concept was first introduced there were tons of Mega Evolutions from Kanto, including the three starters. What if Game Freak decided to make mega evolution part of the main game? I know that if this takes place during the time of the original Pokemon yellow, MEga Evolution didn’t exist at the time, it was a new phenomena that was discovered in the Kalos region. But Mega Evolution would just be so cool. Imagine having a Mega Charizard in battle with those crazy good graphics, or what about surfing through route 19 on the back of your Mega Gyarados. This one isn't very likely which is why its not very high up on the list, but whos to say it can’t return. I wouldn’t really like to see it in the post game of Kanto, as there isn't really much to do after becoming the champion, unless my next hope gets added to the game. #3. A Great Postgame Something that I and many people alike hate about the Kanto Region is the lack of a good post game. In Fire Red Leaf Green we were given the Sevii Islands, seven different islands with different quests and challenges, which sounds cool but is honestly boring. Don’t get me wrong though, the Hypno quest was cool… I guess… but was honestly just creepy. A great post game is what would help this game last longer with the players. In Gen 4 we were introduced to Looker, and he gave us missions to complete all the way to Alola. What if he somehow made his way to Kanto, and is in need of a hero to help him. These could be especially cool considering the fact that there is now a local multiplayer function. Another thing they can include in the post game are red and blue. Lets say the games do take place 20 years in the future, it seems super likely that Red and Blue would be a part of the post game. We already know about the integration of Pokemon Go with the games, what if there was some way to create post game missions regarding to Pokemon Go? #2. Shiny Hunting Methods One of my favorite things to do during and after the main story of Pokemon games, is to Shiny Hunt. Pokemon X and Y introduced a really cool method for shiny hunting knwon as Horde Battles. Of course like Game Freak always does, the crush out dreams and take it out of the games. In Sun and Moon we were introduced to the SOS Methods and Ultra Wormhole methods of shiny hunting which in my opinion were horrendous. Since its pretty much confirmed Ultra Wormholes arent coming back and SOS methods just suck, what if they were able to come up with a new method for shiny hunting Pokemon. Of course the shiny charm should return to the games to help increase the odds of catching shinies, but there needs to be a way to decrease the odds through wild battling without one. I don’t know exactly how it would work, but it would be cool, maybe have Horde battles return. #1. A New Eeveelution It has been too long since we’ve gotten a new eeveelution, actually only 1 generation but X and Y were 5 years ago, and it feels like forever since we've gotten an eeveelution. With one of the games having a main focus on Eevee it seems super likely that we’re getting a new eeveelution for the new games, especially since there was a “Special New Pokemon” Teased for the games, it would make the most sense if it was an eeveelution. For me, a typing for an Eeveelution would be the poison type. The last Eeveelution we received was sylveon,a fairy type. Usually the typings of Eeveelutions are opposites of each other when they are introduced, Like Espeon and Umbreon or Leafeon and Glaceon. Eeveelutions are just so cool, it's a tradition that's been going on since the original kanto, how cool would it be to see in the same region 20 years later?
