[MATZE] After every loss we will come back stronger.
[NICO BLOCK] ... and I represent the German Democratic Republic!
[JOHN KLINGER] Yeah, no, no... okay.
[TARKAN ASLAN] Okay... do something.
[TARKAN] You can't show us that single spot where we go nuts
like '***, did you see that' so do what you can.
With the ultimate goal on their mind of getting a contract with the
German Wrestling Federation these up-and-coming
talents from all over Europe meet one on one.
But the question of "Who's advancing to the second round?" is answered by YOU, the fans,
supported by the expert opinion of this jury.
The jury is ready. The contestants are ready.
Let's start with today's episode of GWF WHOOOOO'S NEXT?!
My name is Nathan Phoenix. I am 22 years old.
I started wrestling in 2013. I've had 30 professional matches.
I want to be a wrestler because I want to show how cool I am.
I was in the last season and I got kicked out. And did you see the finalists?
Two thin guys... they're too ugly. And look at me.
I'm bigger, I'm so much bigger than the last time and GWF needs me.
Needs this young party boy.
[NATHAN] Guess who's back? Guess who's back for the second season of "Who's Next"?
Nathan Phoenix! Should I introduce myself? Of course not,
because you already know me or watched the first season.
[DON SHEEN] My name is Don Sheen. I'm 22 years old.
I wrestle since November 2016. So far I've had about 12 matches.
Why I want to become a wrestler? They used to make fun
of me in school because I wanted to do what I love.
I know I want to prove anybody wroing who thought that I couldn't make it.
I am here on "Who's Next" because people have but obstacles in my way.
I want to change that with "Who's Next" and present myself in all of Germany.
[DON] My name is Don Sheen. I am a college boy from Bavaria.
I've finished school and finally I can live my dream and turn myself to wrestling.
Someone who's been here last year and was
eliminated in the first round is right up my alley.
Let's make the first round for a second time.
Because I am Don Sheen and you should be jealous.
[AHMED CHAER] His name is Don Sheen but he talks in German so I was wondering.
I thought he's something like English or...
[JODY FLEISCH] It says that he's from Germany, right?
[AHMED] Yeah, but I mean why is his name...
[JODY] Yeah, doesn't make any sense his German name, does it?
[ANGELICO] Same with Nathan Phoenix. [AHMED] Yeah.
[ANGELICO] Why the "Phoenix"? [AHMED] Yeah.
[ANGELICO] Why is his surname Phoenix?
[JODY] Did Nathan... I mean did Don reference why he's called Don Sheen at all?
[AHMED] No. [JODY] Okay.
[AHMED] He just said my name is Don Sheen and
than he said I am a college boy from Munich.
[JODY] Right, I see. [AHMED] Didn't really make sense.
[JODY] No explanation for Don Sheen.
[AHMED] But now he starts talking in English.
[AHMED] The problems for German wrestlers are... the thing is do
you have to work the crowd or do you have to work the camera?
If I don't know it I would ask. Do you want me to work the crowd or the camera?
The question is on this show I think it's to work
the camera. They really work a lot with the crowd.
[ANGELICO] Yeah, but at least he's quite confident when he works the crowd.
He's confident. Phoenix, when he works the crowd.
[AHMED] Didn't understand that. [JODY] Yeah, it was a weird stomping. I didn't
get that either. I don't think anybody did.
[ANGELICO] What was it going to be?
[JODY] No one knows.
[AHMED] They don't know probably.
[AHMED] But I like his punches. It looks nice. Okay... As soon as I talk about it...
[AHMED] Didn't really like that. [JODY] Sloppy.
[AHMED] Yeah, didn't like the... [JODY] I'm not a fan of all of the sloppy stuff.
[AHMED] Yeah. Especially on the point when you just come back
and he waits to see you and then if you're working like that: Like nothing's there.
[AHMED] I mean, no. Nothing would be better, honestly. [JODY] Yeah.
[AHMED] Sounds stupid but it is. [JODY] Yeah.
[JODY] And in the context of everything I don't think that
I buy that oversell. It's just that I didn't feel it.
[JODY] Yeah you guys went pretty close to five minutes which is good.
Other than that to be honest I didn't really buy much of that.
I'm a fan of quite crisp wrestling. I like my stuff to look good.
I noticed on your fire or your comeback between the
two of you it just looked a little sloppy to me.
Shouting while in the sleeper I think you had the sleeper hold on you
and you jeered up to the crowd which is great but you're in a sleeper.
Effectively you were being kinda choked. It's
another thing that you might wanna think of.
And I'm gonna sound like an *** but I like when wrestlers look like athletes.
And that's not necessarily big muscles sticking everywhere or anything
like that but I don't know I kinda see from your movements...
I didn't buy it like I'm watching two athletes.
I thought your gimmick stuff was quite good at times.
And almost the same about you. The in-ring stuff ... 3 (out of 10)...
entrances on each of you I found them slightly better than the in-ring stuff.
So I'll give you 5 on that, and I guess you too.
[AHMED] You start your promo in German and you
have an English name and you can speak English?
[DON] Yeah.
[AHMED] I mean... why? If you're German, be a German. It's cool
to be a German because it's something different, you know?
I just read the name and than I expected a different guy
than I saw. And then you talked in German? Who is Don Sheen?
What is Don Sheen? You need to have an idea who you
are and why you are acting like you're acting.
Your promo was okay because you said something like I don't
have to introduce myself but in reality you did which is good.
To the match: I never realized... do you work the crowd or do you work the cameras?
I mean it's always a good question because if you are on
shows... on some shows you definitely have to work the crowd
and sometimes you are on shows where they are filming and
because they're gonna sell it or whatever so you need to ask
and you need to know what is this for. At this point you know what
it is for. It's a YouTube show and it's definitely for the cameras.
Of course you worked the crowd which was good but
you have to take care of the cameras as well.
For example your hair was so many times on your face so the cameras didn't see it,
they didn't see your face and we also didn't see your face so nobody saw your face.
Take care of this stuff because it's really important. So for me it's a 4 for Nathan.
Don also a 4 and for the match 4 out of 10.
[ANGELICO] Nathan I thought your entrance was
great, you came down you had a good movement.
I mean any entrance as long as you're giving something I think that's good.
You kept my attention on you while you walked down to the ring the whole time.
Just a little thing - Nathan Phoenix - I don't
know if there's back story to the Phoenix name.
But sometimes when you have like a normal name like
Nathan and then you just stick Phoenix on it at the end
it just feels like you're trying to throw something cool word on
the end it and it doesn't really relate to you in any sort of way.
You had good presence, good crowd work, the gear I think
it's good. Like Jody - he likes all ring work to be crisp,
I like all image to be crisp. For both of you if I came and saw you know just
ringgear-wise - just from seeing you straightaway I'd say his tights are too big.
He's got pink and silver gear but he's got orange running
shoes on and not even wrestling boots or amateur boots.
Your tights maybe your grandma made them for you, made she didn't. You know what I mean?
For me image can be just as crisp as in-ring work. Everything makes the package.
Don Sheen you're a little bit bland in the ring. The
moves were a little bit bland and the interaction.
So maybe just look to come out of your shell a little bit more in the future.
Don I think I'll give you just because of the blandness about a 4 as well.
Nathan because your character you're a bit more interactive
with the crowd and how you act I'd push you up to maybe a 5.
The match probably a 5 it wasn't bad it wasn't good but it was sufficient.
[AHMED] Alright, thank you guys. [ANGELICO] Good stuff, guys.
It's voting time! Head over to gwf-wrestling.com/vote to

and to bring him one step closer to being part of the GWF.
The results of this voting will be revealed in the next episode of GWF
WHOOOOO'S NEXT?!
[MATT] If anything, audiences love dumb noises. That was like...
[JOHN] Your promo got me right away. You're kinda scary, but touching as well.
[TARKAN] I liked the story behind it. You explained it and I really got into it.
