Hello and welcome to Archana's Rasoi (Kitchen)!
Today, I'm going to teach you how to make Chickpeas Biryani
That's right! Because chicken biryani, mutton biryani, prawns biryani, vegetable biryani, mushroom biryani,
Paneer biryani, etc Since it can be boring eating the same thing, today I want to teach you Chana Biryani
Stay Tuned to Archana's Rasoi!
Let's take a look at the ingredients we will need to make Chana Biryani
Let's begin now.
First warm up the oil
The rice that we have here, as i've told you before, if you have one cup of rice, then boil 4 cups of water
To it, we add garam masala (cinnamon, cloves, black pepper)
Then after the water boils, we add washed rice into it
And after the rice has been cooked, turn off the gas
And then drain the rice off the water
Let's add the onions to this
Mix the onion well
Just a little bit, because we are going to cook it later anyway
Add to that the ginger garlic paste
This is a quick recipe to make the Biryani the masalas are available at home.
Like the ginger-garlic paste or onions. You can also add Tomatoes or Tomato puree
Then let's add the 1tbsp Biryani masala
Then add the mix masala 1 tbsp
Add salt to taste
We are going to add some Coriander leaves to it now, and we will add some later as well.
Now we will add the chickpeas that we have soaked in water overnight and then boiled in the morning
If you forgot to soak the chickpeas then take a bowl of hot water, add half spoon of soda powder
And then add the washed chickpeas to it and then soak it in water for 5-6 hrs
Add some water and then let it cook for 5 mins because we need a little gravy for Biryani.
If you add a little salt and sugar to the onions, after 10 mins drain the water from it and fry it in oil,
then they will remain crispy for 1-2 months if stored in the fridge.
You can use this onion in the future to make a biryani or Jeera (cumin) rice
Our chickpeas and onions are cooked.
Like I had told you last time, when our gravy is cooked, then all the oil that we have used accumulates to the side.
Since this a recipe to make Biryani quick, we are going to add the rice from the top
After we add some of the rice, we are going to add onions to it
Or you can add in the rice and mix it before adding it to the chickpeas
Now we will add the onion again to the remaining rice and add some salt to it
And add the remaining coriander and mix well
And then mix it with the chickpeas
Make sure you don't press the rice too much and there are air gaps for the rice to be cooked by the steam of the gravy
This will give a nice aroma to the biryani
Now we will cook it for about 10 minutes on about 600 C
Now we wait for it to get cooked.
Let's see if our chickpea Biryani is ready...
Our delicious chickpea Biryani is ready!
And it smells delicious too!
