A tank from SOCATRI (AREVA subsidiary) had overflowed during the night of 7 to 8 July 2008, and 30 tons of a solution containing 74 kilos of uranium were released into the wild via the Gaffière and Auzon rivers . Since I am sick and ruined, when I apply for help to the French state, they are sending me to AREVA, when I apply for help to AREVA, they are sending me to the French government! No one of them wants to assume responsiblity for the serious health and social consequences of the proximity ... of the Tricastin nuclear power plant with Bollène city. On the site of Tricastin a tumulus containing radioactive waste military exposes us ... for several years to the additional threat of nuclear contamination of the aquifer by the water runoffs. In the past some radioactive fuel rods were trapped for several days suspended precariously above the pool ... threatening throughout Provence of a major nuclear accident. Our situation is comparable to those experienced unfortunately by too many Japanese families who are surviving ... on contaminated territories sustainably since early in March 2011, the infamous nuclear disaster Fukushima.
