Allow me to say,
The blessed being, the messenger of God, became someone's guest
he saw that the host, in order to calm his child and stop him from mischeif
promised to give him some dates
His exalted being, saw that the man didn't have a date in his hand
He said: "What did you tell him?"
The man replied:"In order to make him calm and stop him from mischeif, I promised him dates"
The Prophet said:"Don't play with the child. When you make a promise, you should carry it out"
that's the example of a child.
On another occassion, the Prophet saw someone
in order to catch a horse was holding his shirt out
He asked him what he was doing
The man answered: "The horse is acting up and not yeilding"
"I'm trying to catch it. So I'm holding my shirt as if it has barley in it."
The Prophet said: "Don't trick the animal"
"When you make a promise, you have to carry it out"
We've promised these people justice, we've promised them kindness
Our religion is a religion that doesn't allow tricking even a horse
When we repeat certain slogans we have to act on them
