London England Antique Map - 1862

Hey everyone, Adam Shaw here from Bravura Media Company and today we have yet again another map for you guys. It is a vintage map of London England produced in 1862. So lets dive right in and take a look at this amazing map. As you can see, we have the famous Thames River going right through London. If we zoom in even closer we can see the different bridges going across the Thames River. We have of course the Westminster Bridge, Waterloo Bridge, that looks like Blackfriars Bridge. And you can see if we look at the streets, look at all the detail and every single street is named and you can see how the blocks are shaped. Bethlehem Hospital, everything is, here is the House of Parliament, right here, right next to the Westminster Bridge. Here is the Saint James Park, the parks are even, curated on to this map. Really, really awesomely detailed. Some of these buildings are labeled, this is a museum, I can't really read that name, but it's a museum on Russel Street. We've got a park right to the northwest, it is Regents Park and you have the Royal Botanical Gardens right here, the zoological gardens, it even shows you how the gardens are shaped. In a triangle and one over here is a circle, that's wonderful. Then you have, wow, railroads labeled. The Great Northern Rail Depot, it's great. Look at how much detail, I wonder how much time it took to make this map probably, I couldn't even imagine how long it did.
